It’s been almost four years since the British-spy series ‘The Night Manager’ aired its first season. The show, based on a novel by MI6 intelligence officer turned novelist, John le Carre, was adapted for the small screen by David Farr and directed by Bird Box extraordinaire, Susanne Bier.

Tom Hiddleston hints at the return of ‘The Night Manager’
Tom Hiddleston, who plays Jonathan Pike, is a luxury hotel night manager and former soldier who is roped into infiltrating arms dealer Richard Roper’s (Hugh Laurie) inner circle by an intelligence officer, Angela Burr (Olivia Colman).
Tom Hiddleston recently stated that the writers of the show are working on the script for season two and, by the looks of it, putting a real-world spin on the show. He also stated that things could work out very interestingly for the show as the world we live in is an interesting place.(Indeed!)
Although, Tom Hiddleston notes that some characters loved by the viewers may not return to ‘The Night Manager’ Season 2. But, with the pain of goodbyes comes the pipeline of promise that season two of ‘The Night Manager’ will be more thrilling and thematically complex than the first season.

While major plot details remain under wraps, ‘The Night Manager’ 2 will feature an original plotline, completely independent from season one of the series. Having said that, season two will feature elements borrowed from le Carre’s novels on whose book the first season of ‘The Night Manager’ is based.
A team of writers, which includes ‘Operation Finale’ screenwriter Matthew Orton, ‘Killing Eve’ executive producer Francessa Gardiner, and British Spy novelist Charles Humming, have started working on the plot for season two (it already sounds like a hit!).

The six-part drama series, ‘The Night Manager’ won a slew of international awards which included three Golden Globes, two Emmys, and three BAFTAs. Starring Tom Hiddleston in the lead, ‘The Night Manager’, which released in 2016, became an instant hit with its viewers.
What holds the series with the reigning title of being one of the best spy-series is perhaps its suave and stylish production. The opening title is nothing short of a James-Bondesque look while you sit back and travel to the 80s with the assistance of the series’ soundtrack.
Whether it’s the location, the murky and vibrant streets of Cairo, the crisp writing, or the intense buildup, or just Tom Hiddleston in the lead, ‘The Night Manager’ is a classic British-spy production which makes it a force to be reckoned with.
