Avengers Endgame has a lot resting on it’s shoulders. So is it okay if it forgets this very important Captain Marvel arc in the movie?
Avengers: Endgame had a huge responsibility resting on it’s shoulders alone. It was like a middle-grade teacher handling a bunch of kids i.e., the audience. And when you are handling those many number of character arcs, someone is bound to miss out on theirs.
Marvel fans and part-time detectives have found one plot-hole in the movie (obviously) that they are extremely bothered with and it belongs to Captain Marvel.

- Captain Marvel: The Superwoman
- Thor: The God Who Forgets
Let’s find out more about the missing plot-hole that even Marvel makers could not find out about.
Captain Marvel in Avengers Endgame
Carol Danvers had only briefly been welcomed into the MCU when she first appeared in the Avengers: Endgame movie.

Dropping in the final battle scene between Thanos and pretty much the rest of the world, Captain Marvel did not get a lot of screen time. And be that as it may, fans were quick to point out a flaw from her tiny appearance in the movie.
Marvel detectives pointed out that this is probably the first time Captain Marvel is returning to the earth after she first left it in the 1990s. Captain Marvel is seen leaving the earth at the end of her first solo movie to work intergalactically. (Girl’s got some serious work)

And upon returning to Earth she doesn’t bother or ask about her supposedly best friend Maria Rambeau and her daughter Monica. In the solo Captain Marvel movie, their friendship was established as possibly the only close relationship Carol Danvers has maintained after her human life ended.
Captain Marvel: The Superwoman
Avengers: Endgame was the glorious end to an era. An era that lasted for a decade. With Avengers fighting together the evil and filth of the universe and sometimes also alone in their solo-movies.
What we are guessing here is not a plot-hole per say, but simply favouring one plotline over the other. Characters like Black Widow, Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Hulk and Hawkeye deserved an ending only fitting to their long career as superheroes, saving the world again and again. And if they didn’t, let’s just say the audience would have made their discontent over it known.
And Carol Danvers has just recently embarked on her journey as a superhero (at least in the timeline we live by). The chances are we might get these answers in the next Captain Marvel movie el pronto anyway.
And it’s not like Marvel hasn’t conveniently forgotten to portray a certain storyline in order to concentrate on the one that fits them in the scenario they have in hand.
Thor: The God Who Forgets
The God of Thunder can also be quite forgetful of people he has close human relationships with. In the 2012 first Avengers movie, Thor had seemingly forgotten all about how he left things with Dr Jane Foster (Natalie Portman).
In his solo movie, Thor released in 2011 Thor played by Chris Hemsworth comes in close contact with Natalie Portman’s character Jane and he just decides to skip meeting her altogether the next time he visits her home planet.
Well, let’s just call the missing plot-holes from now ‘The Case of Convenience’. But what Marvel Studios should never forget is that once it’s out for us to see, we never forget.
Here’s hoping Carol Danvers does reunite with her friend Monica Rambeau in Captain Marvel Part 2. What do you think? Was this a mistake made on error or convenience? Let us know in the comments below!
