How To Get Away With Murder, the legal-drama series running on a high of six successful seasons has been with the audience since 2014. Starring Viola Davis as Annalise Keating, a well-known criminal defense attorney and a law professor, it didn’t take long for the audience to fall in love with Davis’ incredible performance or the gripping plotline.
The legal-drama remains a legal drama but in a world of betrayal, the death of Keating’s husband and a whole of lot of dead bodies.

How To Get Away With Murder: Lives On
Annalise Keating and her group of interns are now six seasons in deep trying to solve the mess of murdered people around them. How To Get Away With Murder started with the group of interns and Davis’ character get caught up in the murder of her own husband Sam Keating (Tom Verica).
And through the six seasons, an array of interns and people around Davis have taken an exit or entry as she battles through the pile of murders that just keep building up. And in How To Get Away With Season Six sees Annalise herself becoming entangled in a web where the strings of lies and truth become awfully entangled.
Annalise Keating is put on trial for a murder by the FBI. And as How To Get Away features both flash forwards as well flashbacks involving it’s characters, Davis’ character Keating’s funeral can been seen taking place in a flash forward.

Although, it was announced that Season 6 would be the end of How To Get Away With Murder chances are very high it might live to see another season after all. The creators of the show that include Shonda Rimes have said that the decision was a brutal one and the storyline only suggests there is more to offer to it’s audience.
The show’s fondness for using time-jumps and flashbacks give the plotline of the show a wide berth of opportunities to explore the characters and plotlines. Season 7 of How To Get Away With Murder could focus on Keating and Laurel (Karla Souza) as they raise Christopher together.
And even if Viola Davis decides to step down from her role of playing the lead protagonist, the show could continue with focusing on Connor (Jack Falahee) and Michaela (Aja Naomi King).
How To Get Away With Murder: New Character and Plotlines
Besides Davis’ character Keating, perhaps the ones that fans would want to most focus on would be Connor and Michaela. These two characters have grown the most over the course of several seasons and the audience wants to see how things turn out for them both.
Michaela has always worked on her own terms. Her succeeding on her own terms could be an interesting storyline to follow. Whereas with Connor, there is plenty of storyline potential in the character’s marriage to Oliver (Conrad Ricamora).
So, fans of the show not to worry. Even if Viola Davis does choose to unsurprisingly not reprise her iconic role as Annalise Keating there is plenty more fish for the writers to catch. And the fans are ready for the service of the century when How To Get Away With Murder does return!
