Will we see Kelsey Grammer (Frasier) in season 12 of ‘Cheers’?
Two decades ago, when Ted Danson announced that he would be leaving the series at the end of the 1992-93 season, producers decided that Woody Harrelson could take over the bar. But Woody wasn’t interested in continuing the show without Danson, and so its series finale was set. But there was a lot that could have been done with the other ‘Cheers’ characters such as Frasier Crane (played by Kelsey Grammer). Though his story was not taken forward in ‘Cheers’, a spin-off of the show called ‘Frasier’ was made. It continued the story of Sam’s psychiatrist as he returned to Seattle. He started building a new life as a radio advice show host while reconnecting with his brother and father, and new friends.

While fans wait for ‘Cheers’ Season 12, they are enthralled with the news of a new ‘Frasier’ season in the making.
Frasier to make a comeback?
According to the “Daily Express”, Kelsey Grammer said:
“That little folder, that is filled with six different ideas that are all in contention right now for, what maybe, a new ‘Frasier’. A continuation of ‘Frasier’”.
Five times Primetime Emmy Award winner for Outstanding Comedy Series, ‘Frasier’ grabbed positive attention from its audience right from the start. It revolves around Dr Frasier Crane (played by Kelsey Grammer) who was Sam’s psychiatrist in ‘Cheers’. It first aired in 1993 and travelled down a trail of 11 seasons for 11 years. Looking at the immense success of this critically-acclaimed show, its revival was discussed back in 2019. And so, season 12 may soon be on the charts.

What to expect from the new season?
2020 has been a tough ride so far, and it’s okay for us to take our mind off things with some entertainment. What’s a better way to feel joyful than by watching the old episodes of ‘Frasier’ before the new season arrives?
Now that Kelsey Grammer, who played Frasier Crane in ‘Cheers’ and its spin-off, has confirmed the revival of ‘Frasier’, we can hope for a brand new season soon. The storyline may be expected around Frasier’s life, where he’s got six children and a wife in the island somewhere and needs to come back to probably resolve things with his son Frederick, which represents the show in the first place. One can only guess!
There are reports that NBC is interested in the revival of ‘Frasier’. Although there is no official announcement from the TV network, we can still hope to watch Kelsey Grammer in a new ‘Frasier’ (Cheers spinoff) season soon. The possibility of its revival has increased as light-hearted shows are more in demand these days.
