The Ranch: Looks like we are done with it?
The Ranch has been well-known since it originally started streaming on Netflix in April 2016. The show ran for 80 episodes. Now, fans are holding their breath for more. After a Super Bowl advert reunited the fans with Sam Eliot, who plays Beau Bennet in the series, hopeful sparks took over the sky again.
The advert said, “Something mighty different is coming to the ranch.” That was it. Rumours and confusion flowed among fans throughout the week because seeing Elliott in his The Ranch attire could also mean that bigger things are planned.
Alas, it was not to be. With the final season taking over, the creators and stars confirmed that there won’t be a ninth season. The last 10 episodes were released on Netflix on January 24. Hence, no green signals for this reboot!
Is That‘70’s Show anywhere in the race?
That ’70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama has confirmed that the cast of the sitcom have indeed had discussions about a reunion film, but emphasized that he personally doesn’t see a reboot arrangement occurring.
He further conceded that it would be tough to reproduce the similar enchantment and magic that has long been associated with the original show.
In any case, the actor is giving fans a smidgen of expectation by giving some insight into the discussions he has had with the original cast about a That ‘70s Show movie, and most seemed to be interested.
In an interview, he said, “We’ve talked about it… Maybe it’s That 70s Show Movie, but it takes place in the ’90s? Where are they now? Or maybe the late ’80s might be kind of funny too. I don’t know, there’s nothing creatively in the works, but we talked about it. We thought it’d be really fun, and funny because the tone the show lends itself for something very forward-thinking.”
Well, never say never!
Other sitcoms from the period like Will and Grace, Roseanne, and Full House have been down this road and discovered awesome accomplishment with their refreshed spin-off shows.
A lot of them are in transit, such as Frasier and Friends. So, who knows what might occur? We might just be looking at an amazing That ‘70s Show movie in the future. Does the idea excite you? Tell us in the comments section.
