In the live announcement video, she revealed that ‘The Kissing Booth 2’ will be released on Friday, July 24th.
Cast of the show; who can we expect to see in the sequel?
First things first, lead actor Jacob Elordi has been confirmed to reprise his role as Noah, along with Joey King as Elle Evans.
Other returning cast members include Joel Courtney who plays Lee Flynn, Elle’s BFF and Noah’s brother, Meganne Young as Lee’s girlfriend Rachel, Molly Ringwald as Noah and Lee’s mother, and Bianca Bosch as OMG girl Olivia.

There’s no official confirmation if OMG girls Jessica Sutton as Mia and Zandile-Izandi Madliwa as Gwyneth will reprise their roles.
Apart from the actors, director Vince Marcello is back to helm the second instalment as well. Meanwhile, Andrew Cole-Bulgin and Edward Glauser will also be producing the sequel.
What can fans expect from the sequel?
The first movie ended with Noah heading off to college and Elle seeing him off at the airport, which left fans guessing if this meant that Noah and Elle are dating after their kissing booth affair. But though their relationship was up in the air, it was clear that her friendship with Lee was rock solid again after the two fought because she kept the pretty big secret that she was dating his brother.
In an interview with an entertainment magazine, the lead actress theorized and opened up about her take on the upcoming sequel. She said, “Elle goes to visit Noah at college. Of course, there has to be some crazy things that get out of hand, but I don’t know”.
Seems like King got it right. Netflix’s official synopsis for the sequel reads, “Elle Evans (Joey King) just had the most romantic summer of her life with her reformed bad-boy boyfriend Noah Flynn (Jacob Elordi). But now, Noah is off to Harvard, and Elle heads back to high school for her senior year.
She’ll have to juggle a long-distance relationship, getting into her dream college with her best friend Lee (Joel Courtney), and the complications brought on by a close friendship with a handsome, charismatic, new classmate named Marco (Taylor Zakhar Perez). When Noah grows close to a seemingly-perfect college girl (Maisie Richardson-Sellers), Elle will have to decide how much she trusts him and to whom her heart truly belongs”.
So, overall fans can expect the sequel to contain more relationship status answers and high drama as Elle and Noah’s relationship will be put to test.
For those unversed, the franchise, which began as a book series by Beth Reekles, first started as a story on Wattpad that Beth wrote when she was 15 years old. There’s already a second edition of the book that’s available by the name ‘The Kissing Booth 2: Going the Distance’, and Beth confirmed that the movie’s story is based on the book’s plot.
