Here is everything we know about ‘The Flash’ Season 7.
‘The Flash’ Season 7: When will it return?
The one question that is everywhere and anywhere is this: When will our favourite shows and movies return? Ever since ‘The Flash’ premiered in 2014, the show has graced the TV screens in The CW’s fall schedule, which is in the first week of October. But The CW president Mark Pedowitz has announced that the show will not be returning in October this year. According to official reports, the show which got cut short before season six’s planned finale will return to our screens in January 2021. Showrunner Eric Wallace has mentioned that the show will return to production soon.

The Vancouver-based shows will go into production by the end of August after the cast and crew follow a two-week isolation period. We finally have something to look forward to with the new year coming.
What to expect from the new season?
The good news is that The Flash season 7 will pick up from exactly where season 6 left off. Season six’s storyline was in two parts. The first half focused on handling Barry Allen’s (Grant Gustin) struggle when he learns of his mortality and that he was going to die during the ‘Crisis’ crossover event.
But Barry survived and the second half of season six focused on the fallout of the crisis. The show also introduced a new threat, Eva McCulloch, who trapped Iris West-Allen, Kamilla Hwang, and Captain Singh in a mirrorverse.
The next season will focus on concluding the two parts together, and the most crucial point will be to finish the story and arc of Eva in the story. Now, let’s see who will be back in season 7?
Which actors will be reprising their roles?
Now that the crossover is over, we can confirm that most of the characters have survived. Candice Patton as Iris West-Allen, Danielle Panabaker as Caitlin Snow, Carlos Valdes as Cisco Ramon, Jesse L. Martin as Joe West, Hartley Sawyer as Ralph Dibny, and Danielle Nicolet as Cecile Horton will all return for at least another season.
Hartley Sawyer, who portrays the role of Ralph Dibny, will not be returning to the seventh season, after racist and misogynistic tweets from his past resurfaced in June 2020. Show-runner Eric Wallace, in a statement, said that he is implementing more policies to make the show more inclusive for people of colour.
So, with so many things to look forward to, the new year is finally looking good. Let’s hope the show is back super soon. Are you excited for season 7 of ‘The Flash’? Do you think Eva will finally be defeated? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
