What do you get when you toss several adolescents from a humble community in Wisconsin into a soiled cellar with nothing to engage themselves with except for a TV, a sofa, and lots of pot?
- Is the title of the sitcom going to be the same?

Well, you’d most likely wind up with a great deal of snickering and various kinds of crumbs on the sofa — but, you may likewise end up with the best sitcom of all time.
Is the title of the sitcom going to be the same?
For 8 seasons, ‘That ’70s Show’ offered a nostalgic perspective on the ’70s for present-day crowds to appreciate. Topher Grace, the actor who depicted Eric Forman, portrayed the intrigue of the show’s characters by saying, “If you lived through the 1970s or even just survived to be a teenager, one of these characters could be you”.
Alas, all great things must meet their end and that includes ‘That ’70s Show’. After an eight-year run, it came to end and left the fans begging for more. When you deal with the renewal of shows like ‘Friends’, ‘How I Met Your Mother’, or ‘That ‘70’s Show’, it is hard to want to change much. The shows, as it is, hold such a legendary stature in the minds of the viewers that fans might react negatively to changes, as well as resist it. This may result in a lot of criticism of the sequel series.
Therefore, the producers seem to have decided to stick with the same name for the hit series. Although there are talks about the fact that the sequel could be set in the late 1980s or 1990s. So essentially, ‘That ’70s Show’ would not be set in the seventies anymore.
Which characters might we see again?
It’s hard to pinpoint which characters will make a comeback in the upcoming renewal but it is clear that the married couple, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher, are sure to return to the screen.
Ashton Kutcher reportedly was glad that they stopped shooting the hit series, ‘The Ranch’, because he was going be all occupied, working on this grand sequel.
Topher Grace also seems all set to return to the screen with the sequel and assume his favourite character, as he said, “I would do it for sure because that was a very wonderful time for us. We were all very close, having that experience every single day with each other. It was great to broadcast it out once a week, but, like, I’m still great friends with those guys. So, the fact that someone would pay us to go [hang] out together. If someone said to you”.
He further added, “What if I got your whole high school class back together and you hung out for a year? Yeah, I don’t think it will happen. It would be so hard to bring that crew together. For me, I’d do it if no one ever saw it. Just because it would be great to hang out with them for a week or something”.
Wilmer Valderrama, who played Fez back in the day, reported that the cast had quite a few discussions about a ‘That ’70s Show’ renewal and it seems clear that he too will be coming back for the sequel.
