Netflix launched Space Force’s trailer. Steve Carell starring Netflix’s latest Space Force is going to be The Office, but in space.
With The Office officially getting removed from Netflix in 2020, Netflix has found a way to fill the void. Netflix has come up with a new The Office comedy to keep the fans of The Office clung to the streaming platform.
However, the fun part is that the new The Office kind of comedy is not going to take place on Earth, but in the space. Fans are excited to see how Netflix will pull off The Office in space. On 20th May 2020 Netflix released Space Force’s trailer starring Steve Carell, and fans are pretty confident that the team will manage to pull off The Office once again, but in space this time.

With Steve Carell from The Office, and Greg Daniels, the co-writer of The Office, coming together to create a new comedy show, what less you can expect than The Office. The real treat is that Steve Carell and Netflix are coming with The Office like comedy show Space force, but it will be based on a space mission, and we will see them recreating The Office in space.
Recently, Netflix launched the trailer for Space Force starring Steve Carell, Diana Silvers, Ben Schwartz, John Malkovich, etc. And the trailer received a great response from the audience and also from the fans of The Office. The fresh take on a comedy and the entirely new concept of space comedy makes the show extremely appealing.

With the Space Force up for the launch on 29th May 2020 on Netflix, the team of Space Force cum The Office is on a spree of promotional events. In a recent interview, the Space Force lead actor and co-creator Steve Carell shared how the show came into existence. He told EW how only a two-word pitch “Space Force” led him to agree to the project.
He said, “They had no premise; it was just the name. The notion of this new military entity was funny to me… It seemed like something that had never been explored before. Obviously, because it hadn’t existed. Because we’d be developing our show as the actual Space Force was being created, there were no parameters, there were no rules. It was a blank sheet of paper, and that was intriguing.”
It’s interesting how the creators took a fresh approach to create the show from ground zero with no prior influence. But it’s hard to say if the influence of The Office will not be seen upon Netflix’s Space Force with the creators being Steve Carell and Greg Daniels.
Netflix’s Space Force is not The Office in Space – explains Steve Carell.
It’s obvious that fans are concerned about the Space Force ending up as being The Office in space. But Steve Carell have tried to explain how both the shows are extremely different from each other, and how Space Force will derive nothing from The Office but only the popularity and quality of comedy.
“In a way, it’s sort of the antithesis of what we did on The Office because there was a roadmap to that show. There were characters or character-like types in place and a structure as to the way the show is shot. But this didn’t have any of those aspects. From day one when Greg and I first met to discuss it, we had to decide what the show would feel tonally and where would the comedy lie, and how much of it would be serious or more heartfelt or more genuine, more human.”
It’s interesting how Carell is emphasising on their approach towards the creation of Space Force. We’ll soon find out what this journey to Space has in the pod for us.
