- Season 3: What is the update?

- ‘Sex Education’ Season 3: When shall thou release?
A highly enjoyable and binge-worthy show is rare to come across, but somehow ‘Sex Education’ is the answer to both. The show, in all its awkward glory, makes the real world melt away in the green landscape all around you.
A collection of moments of heartfelt teen anxiety, too many embarrassing sexual experiences, and handsome handymen, and with its “woke” premise, it has found its rightful home on Netflix with two seasons underway. So, what is season 3 going to bring us? And which other ladies is Otis going to woo next?
Let’s find out.
Season 3: What is the update?
Amidst a global pandemic, the series is not stopping for anyone. The show has resumed shooting for season 3 in a remote location in Wales. The crew and cast are referring to this place as a ‘filming bubble’.
To keep the hands of COVID-19 safely away from the cast and crew is the number one priority for the show-makers. Given the intimacy and closeness required in shooting a show that is primarily about a lot of different categories of physical activity, extra caution is necessary.

And, with season 3 of the show already underway, what other surprises are on the way for the massive audience that the show has garnered over just two seasons?
New faces and hope
‘Sex Education’ Season 3 isn’t coming back empty-handed. The show returns bearing gifts for its viewers in the form of interesting new characters being portrayed by even more interesting actors. Joining the cast of season 3 are three new faces.
Which Sex Education character are you? (Quiz)
One of the most exciting new addition will come in the form of Moordale High’s new principal played by Jemima Kirke who will play Hope. Kirke will be replacing Mr Groff, the current High School Principal, but Mr Groff’s older brother will also be joining the cast.
Jason Issacs (popularly known for playing Lucius Malfoy in the ‘Harry Potter’ series) will be joining the cast as Mr Groff’s more “successful” brother. Along with Kirke and Issacs, Dua Saleh, who will be playing a character named ‘Cal’ – a singer-songwriter from Minneapolis, and a nonbinary student who disagrees with Hope – will also be joining the show.
So, when are we going to see it? And will Otis and Maeve find their way back to each other?
‘Sex Education’ Season 3: When shall thou release?
The earlier two seasons premiered on Netflix in January. Still, like every other series and film in the world, there is no set release date for the upcoming season owing to the coronavirus pandemic. So, as of right now, no release date is in order, but hopes for one still is.
Otis (Asa Butterfield), Maeve (Emma Mackey), Eric (Ncuti Gatwa), Jean (Gillian Anderson), Adam (Connor Swindells), and Aimee (Aimee Lou Wood) will all be making a comeback for season 3.
In the last season, we saw Otis and Maeve missing another chance to be together, and season 3 will help us solve this mystery once and for all – or will it? Asa Butterfield stated that he sees them also ending up just as excellent friends and for them to be together, they’d need some growing up to do.
Well, good friends or not, lovers or not, we can’t wait for the upcoming season to see our favourite people make their way to each other, all complications aside.
Do you think Maeve and Otis should end up together? Or do you think they are better off as friends? Are you excited for season 3 of ‘Sex Education’? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
