After 14 years on E!, the Kardashian-Jenner clan has announced that season 20 will be the last of Keeping up with the Kardashians.
One of the most successful reality shows of all time on American television has been E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Created by television host and producer Ryan Seacrest, the show has made its cast members household names and given them superstar status. It premiered in 2007 and has churned out 18 seasons as of 2020. Despite having faced criticism for revolving around celebrities who are ‘famous for being famous’, the series has been acknowledged by both critics as well as viewers for being a guilty pleasure. It has also been a ratings success for E! and has received multiple Teen Choice and People’s Choice Awards. On September 9th, 2020, Kim Kardashian announced to her 188 million followers on Instagram that season 20 will be the final one for Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan “is wild!”
The show stars Kris Jenner, a businesswoman and the matriarch of the family. Kris has four children from her marriage to lawyer Robert Kardashian – Kourtney, Kim, Khloe and Rob and 2 from her marriage with Bruce Jenner – Kendall and Kylie. The first 13 seasons of the show revolved around Kris and Bruce raising the girls and the drama that ensues. Bruce left the show after his divorce with Kris and the subsequent sex change that underwent to become Caitlyn Jenner.
KUWTK gives its viewers an insight into the personal lives of the members of this family, primarily focusing on their relationships and business ventures. The Kardashians and Jenners are some of the most-followed people on Instagram today and are running multi-million dollar empires. Kylie Jenner became the youngest billionaire in the world a couple of years back after the launch of her make-up and skincare brand, Kylie.
The show has also spawned off several popular spin-offs including Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Khloé & Lamar, Kourtney and Khloé Take The Hamptons and Life of Kylie.
Seasons 18 and 19 : The drama never stops
Season 18 premiered in March 2020 and involved a lot of different storylines such as Kris and Cory’s romance, Khloe and Tristan co-parenting their daughter True, Khloe considering having another child, Kim and Kourtney’s trip to Armenia, Kylie’s LASIK surgery, Cory’s birthday celebrations in Napa and a lot more.
The dose of drama was at its peak, leaving fans excited about season 19 which is set to focusing on the family struggling with going on with their lives amid the corona virus pandemic. Season 19 is set to release this month and just ahead of its release the official Instagram handle of a show posted a picture captioned, “Thank you @kimkardashian @khloekardashian @kourtneykardash @krisjenner @kendalljenner @kyliejenner for gracing us with your presence for 20 seasons of #KUWTK. Can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in the final two seasons ❤️”

The grand finale: Season 20
Ever since the announcement was made, fans have taken to social media to express how heart-broken they are and how 2021 will indeed mark the end of an era. They have watched them grow, change their looks, set up new businesses and become the exceptionally successful individuals that they are today and seeing it all end will surely be bittersweet. The series is ending at its zenith and even though fans are excited to watch the final two seasons of the series and want to know how the show will finally end, they will miss this crazy family for sure.
However, we will still be getting to see our favourite girls ruling social media as always, and will surely hold a special place in our hearts always.
