Paula Andrea Placido is an established visual artist and actor starring in the upcoming new season of Showtime’s “The L Word: Generation Q.” The Argentine-Colombian, born in the Dominican Republic but raised in Florida, is best known for her work on Shameless, Hacks and the upcoming new season of The L Word: Generation Q as “Roxy.” The new season of The L Word: Generation Q is set to premiere on Friday, November 18th on Showtime.

The new season of The L Word: Generation Q is set to premiere on November 18th. Paula Andrea Placido, born in the Dominican Republic, is an established visual artist and actor. She is best known for her work on Shameless, Hacks, as “Roxy”.
Picking up right where the dramatic season two cliffhanger left off, the series continues to follow the cast of characters as they struggle with secrets, old scars and new flames on their search for “the one.” Finley (Jacqueline Toboni) returns from rehab and discovers news about Sophie (Rosanny Zayas) that threatens both her sobriety and their relationship. Meanwhile, Dani (Arienne Mandi) and Micah (Leo Sheng) both attempt to take major steps forward in their relationships. The drama heightens as Shane (Kate Moennig) and Tess (Jamie Clayton) grapple with secrets that could tear them apart for good, while Alice (Leisha Hailey) questions whether she’ll ever find her soulmate, or if she’s doomed to be alone forever. Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Faison also return to guest star in their roles of Carrie and Tom.

Born in San Francisco de Macrois in the Dominican Republic to an Argentine-Italian father and Colombian mother, Paula grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida before moving to Los Angeles to pursue her acting career. Paula is best known for role in the 2nd season of the Emmy-winning HBO comedy series Hacks, where she played ‘Rian,’ Ava’s hot subletter/tenant who she ended up hooking up with and kicks her out the next morning to Hannah’s dismay. Paula also appeared on Shameless’s last season, where she played Calista, a lesbian bartender, who opens up a new queer bar in the Gallagher’s neighborhood and hires Debbie (Emma Rose Kinney) to do a handyperson job of putting up a sign to make her ex-wife jealous. Paula has also appeared in “The Resident,” “Never Have I Ever,” “All Rise,” “The Shrink Next Door” and “Star Trek: Picard,” name a few. In her free time, Paula is a visual artist and enjoys photography, riding her motorcycle and exercising.
Paula was born in the Dominican Republic and grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida. Also appeared in “The Resident,” “Never Have I Ever” and “Star Trek: Picard”.
