The question we want to explore is how well will Jim Parsons fair in this role? Read on to find out.
Jim Parsons has some matching up to do
After numerous auditions, unsuccessful pilots, and almost giving up acting, Parsons, at the age of 33, finally secured for himself the popular role in ‘The Big Bang Theory’ as Sheldon Cooper. Besides winning the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series four times, Parsons also won the Golden Globe for Best Actor.
Following these victories, the ace actor decided it was time to move on. He shifted his focus to a paradoxical role he plays in Netflix original series ‘Hollywood’.
Parsons’ new role was critically acclaimed and well appreciated by the audience. However, according to online sources, fans want their favourite actor back in the sitcom world so he could make them fall about laughing, again.
The idea of having Jim Parsons play Ray Baron on a possible reboot of ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ is exciting, to say the least. With a 7.1/10 rating on IMDb and a huge fan base following both the show and the actor, Parsons has great acting skills up his sleeves to match up to the works of OG Ray.

With their fondness for sarcasm, love for their professions, and suckers for their partners, Sheldon Cooper and Ray Barone aren’t all that different. So, fans can rest assured that Parsons will definitely bring out his A-game if he gets to playing this character.
What is Jim Parsons up to these days?
Surprise revivals of shows and films have become the new way of getting anticipating fans more excited upon hearing a confirmation. What is the likelihood of the reboot, you ask? Jim Parsons has not yet confirmed any upcoming acting projects that he could be busy with. However, it has been confirmed that he will be fairly occupied as the executive producer for a new series called ‘The Inn Crowd’.

After ‘Hollywood’, Parsons has another Netflix original making its way to the OTT platform this year titled ‘The Boys in the Band’. The actor has been known to take risks with the work he does, and ‘Everybody loves Raymond’ could be worth the gamble.
What does Ray Romano have to say about the reboot?
In an interview with UPI, lead star Ray Romano expressed that he never says never to anything that comes his way. However, after years of mediating on the future of a reboot, the comedy man concluded that he was ready to let go of the idea of bringing more of Ray and the Barones to the fans.
It certainly looks like Romano has made a permanent decision about this show. Perhaps, CBS could order for an ‘Everybody Loves Jim’ starring Parsons as the lead. We’re just saying it’s not a bad idea, is it?
