When to expect the release of ‘Lucifer’ season 5?
While most of the filming is done, the makers are yet to finish work on the last episode. The Union Journalism reported that “The showrunners have confirmed that the show has done 99% of its filming.

In fact, the only thing left to the film was half of the last episode in the series. Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the shooting had to be stopped. The showrunners hadn’t given us a release date, anyway. But, this slight hiccup might cause the show to get delayed even further.”
While there wasn’t a release date, to begin with, the show was supposed to return at the beginning of this year. But, given the current circumstances, there are speculations that we’ll have to wait till the end of this year, or the beginning of 2021 for the new season to come out.
What to expect from season 5 of ‘Lucifer’?
The series starring Tom Ellis, Lauren German, and Tom Welling in leading roles, has grabbed a lot of attention since its debut in 2016. The portrayal of a charming, mischievous devil had us swooning right from the start. So, we understand if you’re as excited as we are for the upcoming season of ‘Lucifer’ on Netflix.

So, the question now is what to expect from the brand new season, when we initially thought that it would be the last we see of the ‘Lord of Hell’? It seems like Tom Ellis’s character has a lot in store for us, after all. Let’s explore!
According to Radio Times, the tenth episode of the season is going to be a musical! While it’s no surprise that our devil can sing, an entire episode being a musical came as a surprise to us as well.
So, we can safely expect to see him dance and sing, while we sway to his tunes! And not like you need any reminder, but here’s a clip of him singing in the previous seasons if you want to look back again.
The website also revealed an interesting character appearance. “It’s also been announced that singer Debbie Gibson will be appearing in the musical episode as a controlling mother, but that’s all we know so far.”
While there hasn’t been much else revealed about season 5, these little tidbits have us looking forward to it already! However, as mentioned earlier, the release of the new episodes have been put on hold due to the current situation. It will be a while before the entertainment industry can get back its former pace, but we sure can hope to see it soon.
Season 6 of ‘Lucifer’ has been confirmed.
But the good news is that the show has been renewed for season 6 already! It has been revealed, by many sources, that Tom Ellis will be returning to play the lead character again. It didn’t take long for the producers to seal the deal for yet another season. So there’s a long way to go with this comic book-inspired drama series.
