Would you believe a child who claims Superman is a member of his family? If you responded no, well, Henry Cavill had to bring his nephew from school because no one believed him when he told them his uncle was Superman.
Some people may associate Henry Cavill’s name with his persona, which is pleasant and laid-back. Others may associate Cavill’s notoriously muscular figure with the gym or working out. Some may even associate him with his equally well-known dog, Kal. However, the majority of people are likely to think of Superman. But Henry Cavill proves that family is what comes first through this incident.

Superman is my uncle! Claims a little boy
Henry Cavill revealed that his seven-year-old nephew Thomas was punished “for lying” at school when his teachers and classmates did not believe him that his uncle was Superman. When the youngster’s mother learned of the penalty, she tried to save him, but the teacher did not believe her story until the actor himself escorted the boy to school.

Thomas went to class in a Superman t-shirt one day when students had to give a speech about their family, according to Cavill, who epitomised the superhero in fiction.
“He is famous in school for telling fantastic stories. That day it was with his Superman t-shirt. He was excited because his uncle is Superman and the teacher asked him, ‘Why are you wearing that shirt?’ And he replied, ‘Because my uncle is Superman’”. This is how the actor related it on the Live Kelly and Ryan program.
The actor, who rose to prominence as the superhero in Zack Snyder‘s film, stated that the teacher requested the child’s mother to reconsider the issue of the lies her kid was repeating.
“At the end of the day, my sister-in-law went to look for him and the teacher said: ‘We recommend that you talk to your son, now he is lying to everyone and tells them that his uncle is Superman.’”
He indeed was!
Mother Thomas tried to defend her son and calm the teacher, according to Cavill’s account: “No, it’s totally real.” “Thomas turns around, puts his hands on his hips and says, ‘I told you so.’ and then he goes and gets in the car, outraged”, he added.
To put an end to the debates, Thomas’ mother called his brother-in-law, and the next day, Cavill accompanied the youngster to school in the best Kryptonian style to attempt to spare him from being punished for lying. Even though the tale occurred a few years ago, the actor brought it up again on the television show. Thomas is now 15 years old, and his uncle, the Superman, has become a fan-favourite.
