Reasons why ‘That ‘70s Show’ got cancelled
‘That ’70s Show’ premiered on Fox in 1998, showcasing the sweet seventies in Wisconsin from the eyes of adolescent Eric and his friends. Unlike other sitcoms, the series tackled teenage issues and relationships in a mature manner. They did not follow the formula of love triangles that sitcoms still play with.
But ‘That ‘70s Show’ could not carry on forever and ended its run in 2006. The decision was taken in light of many issues. By the time the cast was filming the last season, they started looking too mature for their onscreen age.
The lead man Topher Grace, who played Eric, left the show for playing Eddie Brock/ Venom in ‘Spiderman 3’. And then, the career of Ashton Kutcher (who played Kelso) took a turn. He landed up in movies like ‘The Butterfly Effect’, ‘Just Married’, and ‘A Lot Like Love’ while doing ‘That ’70s Show’ side by side. But, later on, he left the show to explore his career as a producer.

The gang was never the same after Grace and Kutcher left ‘That ‘70s Show’. Other reasons included downfall in the ratings and Fox struggling to give the show the right time-slot.
Even though ‘That ‘70s Show’ was struggling by the end, it did not fail. It still is the best sitcom in America for comfort TV fans. Sensing the interest of the fans for ‘That ‘70s Show’ even today, the makers are planning to reboot it after 14 years.

Wilmer Valderrama, who played Fez, revealed that the cast had conversations about a ‘That ‘70s Show’ movie, which could take place in the late 1980s or 1990s. So basically, ‘That ‘70s Show’ would not be set in seventies anymore. The reunion movie is most likely to be set in the 90s.
The love story of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher that started in ‘That ‘70s Show’
When the news of the reboot spread on social media, fans started speculating whether the makers will spark the sizzling chemistry of Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher. ‘That ‘70s Show’ was where the two met each other. Mila’s first kiss (though scripted) was Ashton himself. In 2001, she told “People Magazine” that they were practically strangers at that time, though she had a crush on him.
“I was like, ‘Oh, he’s so cute, it’s the Calvin Klein model! … Then I was like, ‘I have to kiss him?’ I was so nervous and uncomfortable. I had the biggest crush on him”.
The age gap proved a hurdle in their romance. Ashton was almost 19 while Mila was like 14 or 15 at that time. Funnily, Ashton said, “Yeah, I did her chemistry homework for her … She was like my little sister”.
Time passed, and then Ashton married Demi Moore, who was 16 years senior to him. In 2011, they announced their divorce. Mila and Ashton reconnected at the 69th Golden Globe Awards in 2012 and sparks flew. Mila admitted that she found him so hot and was checking him out.
“‘Oh, he’s kinda hot.’ … And then, he turned around, and I was like, ‘Oh, my God, it’s Kutch’. I thought it was the weirdest thing that I was checking this guy out, and it was someone that I had known forever”.
Their love story picked from there. It began like a friends with benefits or no strings attached relationship, according to Mila. It went on, ultimately culminating into being husband and wife and having two beautiful kids together.
Though their off-screen life is a fairytale, fans can’t get enough of their romance on the series. Audiences want more from them. Let’s see if sparks fly again in ‘That ‘70s Show’ reboot.
