‘Lucifer’ Season 6 is reportedly in trouble if the contract dispute is not resolved.
It looks like all isn’t well behind the scenes of Netflix’s show ‘Lucifer’. Some trouble has been brewing with the lead actor, Tom Ellis, and his contract negotiations. Various sources have revealed that there have been some re-negotiations that have led to this issue.

There are doubts over Tom Ellis’s return in ‘Lucifer’ Season 6.
While season 5 is yet to be released, there are talks that season 6 has been renewed already. However, the work on it has been put on hold as Tom Ellis allegedly rejected the latest offer made to him, according to TVLine.

This news came as a shock to us fans, as it was previously reported that the star actor had sealed the deal already.
Legal trouble between Tom Ellis and Warner Bros Studios.
And if that’s the case, he might have to face some legal repercussions if he fails to honour them. The TVLine also added that “Despite having what appears to be the legal upper hand, Warner Bro. TV has, per sources, gone back and “ ‘sweetened the pot’ ” multiple times.”.

However, there is no word from either the makers of the show or Tom Ellis’s representatives on the matter. While initially, season 5 was supposed to be the ‘final’ season, the executive producers were more than happy to take the series forward with another season. Most of the actors from the previous seasons are expected to return for the same.
But, of course, since Tom Ellis plays the main character, his return is imperative and there is news that the studio is doing all it can to have him on board again. We hope that they resolve their issue soon because the comic-drama series featuring the devil himself is nothing without Ellis portraying him.
Will the cast reprise their respective roles for Netflix’s season 6?
Apart from Tom Ellis, we are curious to see which other actors will return for yet another season. As fans, we have seen the show go through plenty of obstacles and it had always come out victorious. So, we can hope that other actors reprise their roles again as well.
The finale of season 4 has left us hooked to the blooming romance between Lucifer and Chloe. It had taken its own sweet time to develop, but it was all worth it in the end. So, will Lauren German return to play the role of Chloe Decker? The TV Guide has reported that currently there’s no word whether she’ll be returning to portray her role as a homicide detective. And as the rest of the cast’s return, there are doubts on that as well. There are no official confirmations.
The TV Guide also reported that “In addition to Ellis and German, Rachael Harris, D.B. Woodside, Aimee Garcia, Kevin Alejandro, and Lesley-Ann Brandt are all currently series regulars, and it’s fair to say that over the years they’ve all become pretty integral to the DNA of the series. While some of them may have existing contracts that would carry them through season 6, not all of them are guaranteed to return.”
We do hope that all of them return, including Lauren German. After the end of season 4, we sure look forward to seeing more of Lucifer and Chloe together. Seeing the lead without the detective by his side would make the storyline feel incomplete.
For now, we have a season 5 to look forward to. But we can’t get enough of this series now, can we? How excited are you for the next two seasons? Let us know in the comments section below!
