Kaley Cuoco’s breakthrough roles
Kaley Cuoco was just about 5 years old when she landed her first acting role in the movie ‘Quicksand: No escape’. From there on, she acted in over 50 films and television shows among which ‘8 Simple Rules’ and ‘The Big Bang Theory’ have brought her critical acclaim for her performances as Bridget Hennessy and Penny respectively.
Landing the role of Hennessy wasn’t all that easy for Cuoco. Before she made it as the lead, she struggled to impress the casting directors at the first go, but eventually got her way to the top. The show might’ve not run for too long but it did give her the recognition she needed.

TBBT couldn’t have been any better than it did with the actress’s character Penny bringing a perfect dynamic to the quirky Pasadena gang. The success of this show even went on to make her the second-highest-paid actress on TV after Sophia Vergara who played the role of Gloria on ‘Modern Family’.
The time when Kaley quit one passion for another
Even though Cuoco enjoyed being on set and in front of the camera, acting wasn’t her only love. Right from a very young age, her parents encouraged her to be well-rounded and convinced her to pick up a hobby besides acting. Tennis happened to be one sport she was extremely passionate about and even went on to be ranked 54th on the Girls’ 14 Singles tennis ranking in Southern California.
But it wasn’t until 2001, at the age of 16, that she decided to call it quits and dedicate her life to acting. How glad are we that she did that?

When Cuoco met Cook
At the age of 25, Cuoco’s engagement to Josh Resnik came off as a surprise to fans. But their decision to call it off wasn’t as shocking, as most fans claimed, “they saw it coming”. She later went on to date professional tennis player Ryan Sweeting in 2013 and even got married. To many fans, it seemed like she had finally found her happily ever after, but all went in vain when Sweeting decided to divorce the actress in 2015.
Kaley continued to stay strong and focused on her body goals, survived a freak injury, and even signed various commercials. It wasn’t until late 2016 that after all these failed relationships that she found love in Karl Cook and everything seemed to be working fine for the actress. The KC duo got engaged in 2017 and married in 2018. Hopefully, there won’t be any divorces for the love birds in the future.
Kaley’s obsessed with plastic surgery
Kaley Cuoco has always worked hard to look and feel like the best version of herself. She not only has a great workout routine to keep herself in shape but unlike other celebrities, she doesn’t shy away from promoting a positive outlook to plastic surgery.
Cuoco openly shared that she has had breast implants and nose done, and has no regrets at all! “As much as you want to love your inner self… I’m sorry, you also want to look good. I don’t think you should do it for a man or anyone else. But if it makes you feel confident, that’s amazing”, she expressed in an interview with a women’s health magazine in 2016.
What has the actress been up to after the end of TBBT?
During her time as Penny on TBBT, Cuoco had done numerous cameos in TV shows and movies including ‘Lip Sync Battle’, ‘Hop’, ‘The last ride’, and ‘The Wedding Ringer’, among many others. In 2017, she founded ’ Yes, Norman Productions’ and entered a multi-year production deal with Warner Bros. Television.
In 2018, fans were excited to know that Cuoco would produce and voice Harley Quin in the adult animation ‘Harley Quinn‘. The following year, her production company entered a two-year first-look production deal with Warner Bros. Television and announced that ‘The Flight Attendant’ had been picked up by HBO Max. The miniseries will be released in late 2020.
That same year, it was announced that she would executive produce the upcoming CBS comedy ‘Pretty’. Besides being an executive producer, KC fans will be delighted to about an upcoming film titled ‘The Man from Toronto’ is set to be released in 2021.
