Season 4 of the fantasy animation series is coming and it was finalised for renewal in just over three weeks after the release of the third season earlier in March. People are still confused about the plot-twist with the death of Dracula, and if you’re one of them, read on for the inside scoop.
What happened in season 3?
Castlevania Season 3 highlights the fiercest and most exceptional of all battle scenes that we may have seen until this point.
Our legendary heroes (since this trio truly is the chivalrous power to be found in the story), get “levelled-up” with some awesome weapons and skill upgrades that would literally make you scream in joy (I know I did!)
There’s, additionally, a progressively clear presentation of sex in these series which was unexpected, this was something that was just truly prodded, however, never appeared in the season.
In this season, sex goes as a stand-in for power, an instrument for control, and as a physical sign of the developing closeness between characters. There’s no better way to have shown it than in the season’s penultimate episode, which features the show’s best editing so far. It brought new stories, characters and permitted the audience to dip themselves much further in the reality of the universe.
Alucard, whose story has been unfortunately deplorable, a shell of a man drowning in dejection and wretchedness, turns into an animal as the end of season 3 approaches. Alas, he isn’t the only one to turn into something very negative due to treachery and unnerving loneliness.
Dracula’s death and what came of it
Towards the end of the third season, Lisa and Dracula were seen in hell. This was after the death of Dracula, who was assassinated by his own son, Alucard. Even though Dracula has always been viewed as an antagonist through the series, fans were somehow attached to the character. They wanted to see Dracula hug his son and for everything to be right in the end.
Alas, Dracula went up to a point, from where there was no return. He had lost his humanity upon the death of his beloved wife and ventured to such an extreme dark place, where he only thought about executing his own child, who he said was Lisa’s most prominent blessing to him, and had been the cause of a lot of destruction and disasters. The situation was as Alucard stated, “This is history’s longest suicide note.”He wanted to die, and Alucard knew what had to be done.
In a way, he granted his father’s final wish. He knew that this sacrifice would allow his father to be remembered in his final positive spirit. He had nothing to stick around for as he wouldn’t ever be able to see grand-children because Alucard knows his bloodline is cursed.
When is season 4 coming out of Netflix’s Castlevania?
The extension of the Castlevania animation for a fourth season was made by Netflix on its nerd-concentric Twitter account, NX, on Friday in the US.
The excitement among followers was intense and it went sky-high when a short video was released along with the tweet, highlighting the Dracula-loyalist and devil forge-master, Isaac, looking into his magic mirror.
The initial two seasons of Castlevania followed the story of the 1989 NES game Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, with the third season obtaining its sources from the 2005 title Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, released for the PS2 and original Xbox formats only.
Although the announcement has already made our minds boggle, given the current situation, Castlevania season 4 is not on the cards at the very least till the first half of 2021.
