‘Mr. Iglesias’ Season 3 release date
The first season of ‘Mr. Iglesias’ debuted in June 2019. After almost a year, the second season was released around the same time in June 2020. Due to the current pandemic situation, many shows have been put to a halt. Hence, fans weren’t expecting the next season to be launched before mid-June 2021.
The good news is that the third season of ‘Mr. Iglesias’ is coming to Netflix on the 8th of December 2020. However, there is a catch to it. Season 1 of ‘Mr. Iglesias’ had a total of ten episodes. The next season of the sitcom was released on Netflix with only six episodes. It turns out Netflix actually split the season 2 episodes in half and saved the remaining episodes for later.
Gabriel Iglesias also confirmed the news to fans that season 2 of ‘Mr. Iglesias’ will have a total of twelve episodes. Out of which Netflix aired only six. Netflix had planned the launch in parts. Hence, season 3 will contain six episodes. The Star of the show, Iglesias, has further clarified that the splitting of episodes was not due to the pandemic.
Will Gabe finally find love?
In season 2 of ‘Mr. Iglesias’, we saw the big-hearted Gabe as always teaching the ‘anything is possible when you believe in your own potential’ mantra to his students. He encouraged them to go to Carlos Hernandez’s (Oscar Nunez) drama classes and also participate in the Green Week competition that helps in reducing each school’s carbon footprint. The season also ended with Principal Paula Madison retaining her position in the school.
Season 2 of ‘Mr. Iglesias’ also focussed on Gabe’s dating life. Principal Paula Madison (Sherry Shepherd), his coworkers Abigail Spencer (Maggie Geha), and Tony Ochoa (Jacob Vargas) also talked about how he should find a woman who deserves him.
In the end, Gabe’s luck shines when he comes across a woman named Jackie at a karaoke bar. Gabe was easily smitten by her charm and singing skills. Seeing the women also show interest in Gabe, his friends urged him to go and talk to her.
Later, when Paula arrived at the bar, she revealed to everyone that the school has finally found a new guidance counsellor, Jackie. Who, much to our surprise was the same Jackie that Gabe was flirting with just a while ago! Hearing Paula, Gabe nervously chuckled the word “coworkers“. His reaction did give us a hint of how he might not be comfortable dating a co-worker. Despite the discomfort, we definitely cannot wait to see if Gabe and Jackie choose to just look after the students or kickstart a love story on the show.
