Henry Cavill has openly talked about his dream project – Warhammer 40,000.
At present, Henry Cavill is entertaining us with his portrayal of Geralt of Rivia in ‘The Witcher’ Season 2. However, it looks like Henry’s love for fantasy is not limited to ‘The Witcher’, as he talks about his interest in doing ‘Warhammer’ and also some other fantasy adaptations.

Henry Cavill on working in ‘Warhammer, 40000’ adaptation
In an interview with “Empire Online”, Cavill explains why there hasn’t been a big, solid Warhammer 40k adaption yet. “I think because Games Workshop have been very protective of their IP, and that’s a great decision, and very wise. There haven’t been just loads of TV shows and movies all done poorly. It needs to be handled perfectly. It needs to be handled to a Lord of The Rings level. And if it’s not, I’ll be massively disappointed.”
Cavill further showed interest in playing the character of Eisenhorn. “I mean, I don’t know about Eisenhorn necessarily, when you’ve got Valdor and Primarchs out there”, he says, out-geeking Empire without even trying. “It seems a shame to be a mere Inquisitor. But I would absolutely leap at that opportunity — it’s something I’d be very, very excited to do.”
He then talks about why he enjoys Warhammer fantasy, “Warhammer fantasy I enjoy because of the Total War games. I was that guy who bought all of the Warhammer fantasy armies, books, and all of the codexes and would just read them. I never had a chance to actually play with anyone, but I would get all the lore and learn all the rules. The Sigmar storyline is fantastic! I haven’t played Age of Sigmar, haven’t got into that, but the books written about Sigmar were brilliant. So, there’s a potential for a storyline there as well. There is so much stuff and that world is so rich, and that universe is so exciting. That is the true dream job opportunity. If I were to have the opportunity to show that as live action, then I would be ecstatic!”
Henry Cavill talks about his role in ‘The Witcher’ Season 2
In a conversation with “NME”, Henry opened up about what is different about his role in ‘Witcher’ Season 2. He said, “This is a very different Geralt to last time. I pushed really hard to make sure it wasn’t all conflict, and that we see some three-dimensional depth to this character. There’s less of the grumpy snowman this time”.
“As much as Geralt is fantastically good at killing things, it’s wonderful to see this gentle bond between [he and Ciri]”, says Cavill. “We see more of the wisdom of the character. We see him trying to draw information out rather than just demanding it or shouting and fighting.”
From what we have seen in ‘The Witcher’ Season 2, there is a lot more joyfulness and depth in his character as compared to the previous season.
