Yes, the villains, the heroes, the exploiters, the exploited, all in MCU’s Black Widow are from Natasha Romanoff’s Family.
In MCU’s latest Black Widow, everything revolves around Natasha Romanoff’s family. Black Widow is going to be the first movie in MCU’s Phase 4. Though the movie will be based on an already dead character Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow, it might actually strengthen the roots of MCU for a higher flight. When Marvel announced a solo movie for Black Widow, no one seemed interested.
Highlights:
- Everyone in MCU’s Black Widow is Natasha Romanoff’s family – Even the villains.
- Black Widow is all about Natasha Romanoff’s family – says Scarlett Johansson.
- Villains in MCU’s Black Widow from Natasha Romanoff’s family?
After Natasha’s sacrifice in “Avengers Endgame”, nobody thought that there’s something more to Black Widow that can make them forget that she’s already dead in MCU. But after the release of Black Widow’s trailer, fans went crazy over it. There are claims being made that it might actually turn out to be the best solo movie for any superhero in MCU till now.

Other than the action and appealing visuals of the Black Widow, there’s a certain spark and connect in the story of Black Widow. It is probably because MCU’s Black Window revolves around Natasha Romanoff’s family.
Everyone in MCU’s Black Widow is Natasha Romanoff’s family – Even the villains.
Black Widow is a family drama, and thus everything in the movie revolves around Natasha Romanoff’s family. We don’t exactly know yet who else than her father – Red Guardian, her sister – Yelena Belova, and her mother, are the part of the family.
However, as Scarlett Johansson said in a recent interview, that MCU’s upcoming Black Widow is fixed around Natasha Romanoff’s family, it might mean even the villains in the movie are from her family.

Scarlett Johansson Does Not Want To Be Black Widow
Black Widow is all about Natasha Romanoff’s family – says Scarlett Johansson.
In a recent interview, Scarlett Johansson said that Black Widow is all about family. She said, what’s best about the movie is that even as a Superhero movie it explores various family themes. She said “One of the themes of the film is family. What is the family? How does it define us? How does our past define us? How does our family – however we define it – make up who we are, for better or worse?”
Scarlett Johansson went on praising the especial things about her movie, and she said that it was all Kevin Feige’s brain. “I think part of Kevin Feige’s genius is that he always thinks about what fans expect out of these films and then gives them something that they never could’ve dreamed of.” She also admitted that going into this zone for Black Widow was extremely challenging for her, Johansson said: “The idea of Natasha Romanoff in a family drama is the least expected thing, and I had to wrap my head around what that was going to be because there’s such a big tonal shift.”
After exploring various genres like paranoid thriller (Captain America: The Winter Soldier), heist movie (Ant-Man), high-school comedy (Spider-Man: Homecoming) and psychedelic space fantasy (Thor: Ragnarok), Black Widow will be the first movie in MCU to explore Family drama genre through Natasha Romanoff.
Villains in MCU’s Black Widow from Natasha Romanoff’s family?
Though it seems like an absurd theory, there are possibilities in which this can come true. Beside from Scarlett Johansson’s claims that everything in MCU’s Black Widow is related to Natasha Romanoff’s family, which can mean villains as well, there are other reasons also to think so.
Till now we have seen Task Master, the one main villain in MCU’s Black Widow. But we don’t know his real identity. Suspense is being kept around the actual relation of Black Widow and Task Master. There’s a chance that TaskMaster could come out as someone very close to Black Widow, someone Natasha used to consider family back in the Red Room days.
There’s a doubt about Natasha’s family. It’s not clear if the family in the trailer is a family by blood or a work-family provided by the organization she worked for. If the family is related to her Red Room past, which it is likely to be, then maybe the three members shown in the trailer are not the only family members she got. A theory suggests that the Black Widow might have more than one villain. So, it’s possible that there can be other villains from the Red Room, and they somehow might be “like” family to Natasha.
It’ll be interesting to see what Natasha Romanoff’s family has to offer in MCU’s Black Widow.
