Galactus should not be MCU’s next villain because he is actually a hero.
Ever since Avengers: Endgame has come to an end, Marvel fans have been searching and guessing who the next master mind villain after Madman Thanos is going to be.
Certain theories have been doing the rounds as to why Galactus is the next villain and they seem understandable as Galactus is a godlike creature who eats planets for food. But those theories since then have been put to test and challenged. Many have refuted the theory by saying that the cosmic humanoid Galactus is not the villain but essentially, a hero.

Let’s break it down, shall we?
The Hero That Truly Is
It is guaranteed that Galactus is one of the biggest threats to the universe inside MCU that there is. But he isn’t a villain. And this is coming straight from Richard Parker aka Mister Fantastic himself, one of the smartest people of the Marvel Universe.
One of the points he puts forward is that hating Galactus or perceiving him a hero is against the very basic nature of the universe. Galactus doesn’t kill because he derives pleasure from killing, he does so to feed himself. A being only tending to his needs. He is not a scheming body of evil ideas whose main purpose is to rule the universe much like the villains of Marvel.
Also, in the past Galactus has saved planet earth and helped it’s survival in more ways than many fans would be familiar with.
Galactus: An Ally To Fellow Heroes
In the Marvel Comics a whole section is dedicated to a part where Galactus is talking about saving earth from big threats and the people from Earth not being aware about it. This is directly juxtaposed to his fight with Thanos and how he saves the Earth from Mad Titan that Thanos is.

Although, all said and done, his past transgressions must not be forgiven and the heroes of the earth aka The Avengers may not see him for the hero that we do. After all, Galactus maybe a grey character but saving the world is a screaming black and white decision.
While, Galactus may not be our usual typed- scheming villain, it does not make him any less of a threat to planet Earth. He is the ultimate challenge and there is no place to run from him.
A Hero Of Destruction
Galactus does bring with him a great deal of destruction and dire peril. Our heroes on Earth may not want to leave the situation to an odds of, ‘Maybe he won’t’ as those are the things they most oppose.

For what it’s worth, the heroes meeting Galactus would not be the revelation that he’s actually not Thanos 2.0 and they’ll need to try a different approach to defeat him. Although, chosing him as the villain could be an exciting approach to work with and give a new flavour to Phase Four Of MCU.
By doing that they would reinstate the idea that sometimes villains are not bad people, but people who are made bad by what happens to them.
The Bottom Line is to mold Galactus into a typical villain would be a disservice to him and the great Marvel superheroes that have come before him. But if Marvel does choose to go ahead as they are known to with changes in their comic counterparts, it will be a fascinating thing to watch.
