13 Years Later, ‘King Of Queens’ Returns To His Throne. The Show Will Stream On CBS
Reboots are a thing these days on television, some expected some unexpected. CBS is adding another famous sitcom ‘King of Queens’ in its kitty of reboots in 2020. If you thought ‘Kevin Can Wait’ was a continuation of King of Queens, think again. Kevin James had, time and again, made it clear that ‘Kevin Can Wait’ isn’t the season 10 of ‘King of Queens’.
It was in 2007 when the series parted from the screens by airing its last episode. 13 years later, the CBS network looks ready to begin the streaming of ‘Kings of Queens’, to feed the nostalgic fans with the delightful sitcom and strengthen their position among the competitive peer networks.
Traditional TV networks are facing increased competition from web platforms these days. Netflix fever has hit the businesses of famous TV networks. To strengthen their position in the entertainment world, CBS, like other famous channels is trying to attract the committed audiences who are now watching web shows, by rebooting their favourite shows.

Why Kevin Has To Wait Longer Than ‘King Of Queens’ Season 10
While CBS is bringing back ‘King of Queens’, the future is bleak for ‘Kevin Can Wait’ which many people confuse as the reboot of the 90s sitcom. CBS has cancelled its Kevin James sitcom ‘Kevin Can Wait’ after two seasons. Why the network has decided to pull the plug has confused the fans but the reason is supported by business logic.
Things didn’t work out for ‘Kevin Can Wait’ as was expected. It started with drawing fantastic viewership of 11 million in its premiere episode. But, the showrunner left the series midway owing to creative differences with Kevin James.

Axing their own feet, the series killed Kevin’s wife off just to fit in Leah Remini. This casting decision left the fans outraged and the impact was seen in the ratings. Leah Remini was the co-star of Kevin James in ‘King of Queens’ and was brought to set-up a semi-reboot of the sitcom. Fans showed their fury with downgraded ratings that hit a new low of 4.9 million on the penultimate episode.
CBS didn’t have a hundred per cent say in ‘Kevin Can Wait’ as it was co-produced with Sony Pictures Television. The network has learnt its lessons now and is single-headedly pulling the strings for the reboot of ‘King of Queens’ with season 10. Hopefully, we’ll be able to glimpse at the show before the end of 2020. We are also expecting the cast of ‘King of Queens’ to reprise their roles.
Release Date Update Of ‘King of Queens’ Season 10

Having learnt their lessons with ‘Kevin Can Wait’, it is certain that CBS will not repeat the mistakes. The actors have always shown their interest in the reboot. Kevin had told “Entertainment Weekly” that he is any day ready to act in the reboot of ‘King of Queens’.
