After DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow first season turned out to be a dud, the writers of the show picked up and reinvented the show completely.
It got better and it got weirder and it got better again by getting weirder. The creators of the show quickly realised by making the show sillier, it was becoming a hit with the masses. With Season 5 premiering early this year fans are already asking when Season 6 will available at our disposal.

Season 6 Has Been Confirmed
CW network gave everyone a very positive surprise when it was announced that Legends Of Tomorrow had been renewed for a Season 6. The weird time-travelling superhero series hadn’t even premiered Season 5 yet when the announcement was made!
We worry about our Legends crew because the show is about a group of misfits and an occasional villain which many didn’t believe is a concept strong enough to survive as long as it has. The fact remains that it’s made up of some of the obscure DC superheroes ever to grace our TV screens.
And it still remains to be a mixed bag. You’ve got Arrow for the dark and more serious stuff, The Flash for bright colors, pop culture references and of course Supergirl for your uplifting women power quotient.
As the production for Season 6 was already in the works before Season 5 had even premiered it was expected for an October 2020 release. However, given that the world is going through a Pandemic right now and has momentarily shut down and with it so has all the productions, even an early 2021 release seems impossible at this point.
What Have We Seen So Far?
The past seasons have seen the superheroes look past their own failing and unite as one to fight the evil and the darkness. Time-travelling sure has added the ‘Is this really happening?’ factor we didn’t know we needed for our television shows.
In their time-travelling escapades when they are running around in history, trying to fix things and failing a lot, they met the likes of Albert Einstein, King Arthur, Vikings, pirates and even at points interacting with younger version of themselves.

The previous seasons saw the creators welcoming the extraneousness of it all. The fact that they were heroes quickly became the main plotline rather than the subtext. They were seen embracing the idea of becoming and with that an endearing sense of humour as well.
The following seasons have seen them travel in time to rectify historical glitches which they broke through their previous antics. And the latest season sees Sara, Rory and Ava with the newly discovered encore end up crashing a high school reunion to stop a serial killer.
So while this show once was perceived by critics and fans alike with faults that felt too big to change to make this show a successful endeavour, DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow is now nearing a close on Season 5.
The reason for the success is perhaps their submission to the idea to not take their superheroes seriously. They have been successful in taking the capes not too earnestly and not give in to the gritty, dark plot line as expected.
Maybe that’s why we see the superheroes accepting their inherent lameness and have a climactic battle between a powerful demon and a giant cuddly children’s puppet.
