Robert Pattinson’s Batman movie gets a new release date in DCEU’s movie schedule
Hollywood is a ghost town. All the major productions are stalled under the lockdown with no signs of America returning to normalcy. Big production houses are now further succumbing to the effects of the lockdown by pushing their release dates.

First Coronavirus played with Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 4. And now reports have surfaced that other superhero’s future looks grim as well.
Warner Bros studio has shifted a number of its release dates — including Matt Reeves’ Robert Pattinson starrer The Batman. The fan favourite caped crusader had been set for a June 2021, release. Now the movie will not hit the theatres before October 2021.
Similar to what happened at Disney’s Marvel Studios phase 4 slate, Warner Bros is shuffling the superhero line up under its DC umbrella. The changes have been made to accommodate necessary changes due to the pandemic.
Batman’s Production Woes
Like, many movies The Batman is subjected to delayed production amid lockdown. The production began in January 2020 in London and halted before moving to Liverpool.

The suspension of the production came for two weeks while social distancing norms were being put in place. “Warner Bros. Pictures feature production of The Batman will hiatus filming for two weeks,” an official statement stated. Now the studio has decided to reshuffle most of its calendar to accommodate the backlogs.
Wonder Woman Takes the Lead
While the Warner Bros studio pushed back Pattinson’s Batman by four months. The studio didn’t budge from Gal Gaddot’s Wonder Woman 1984, August 14 release. Likewise, Christopher Nolan’s Tenet didn’t move from its summer release on July, 17.

Other makings in the DCEU The Flash and Shazam 2 also got a new release date. Ezra Miller’s long in production Flash gets a notable push to June 2022 from previously scheduled August 2022 release. Whereas, the much-awaited sequel to Zachary Levi’s Shazam has been delayed. The movie will hit the theatre on November 4, 2022, instead of original April 1, 2022 release.
