The decades-long feud is settled now, and the judgment has come upon Marvel’s Iron Man, as Daredevil proves that DC’s Batman is a better superhero.
The world has been witnessing a war for several decades. It’s a war between two fan bases; it’s a war of prestige, power, money, and of proving that one billionaire superhero is better than another billionaire superhero. While Tony Stark aka Iron Man fought many enemies on his own and alongside the Avengers to save the world, Bruce Wayne aka Batman also risked everything to fight and save Gotham from every threat that it faced.

But their fans have been fighting amongst themselves to decide which one of the two is the richer, more powerful, and deserving superhero. While the fight for power, money, and superhero fame is still on and will continue till eternity between both the billionaire superheroes, it’s Daredevil who has given a judgment against Iron Man. It has declared Batman a better human being and a better ‘hero’.
Daredevil proves Iron Man is a worse hero and human being than Batman
When it comes to Iron Man vs Batman, it’s more of a Marvel vs DC question. Both Marvel and DC have superheroes that closely resemble superheroes from the rival comic universe.

However, Iron Man and Batman are the superheroes that even though resemble each other for the wealth they own, the technology they use, and the attitude they carry, they are equally in contrast with each other as far as being human and helping fellow citizens with their money goes.
And, the fact that Iron Man is rich by fortune but not by heart like Batman (at times), is proved in the new Daredevil issue – Daredevil #22.
New Daredevil issue – Daredevil seeks Tony Stark’s help.
Marvel recently launched a new Daredevil issue “Daredevil #22” – written by Chip Zdarsky; Pencils by Francesco Mobili; Inking by Victor Olazaba; Colour by Mattia Iacono; Lettering by Clayton Cowles.
[Spoiler Alert]
In the new issue, while Daredevil is on trial for accidentally killing a suspect, he is also defending Hell’s kitchen against Stromwyns – billionaire siblings – who are trying to destroy it to buy out the neighbourhood. After trying his best to bring justice as Daredevil, but failing against the super-rich siblings, Daredevil uses a bit of common sense and decides to use money against money – very clever!
Matt Murdock aka Daredevil approaches one of the richest men on the planet – Tony Stark. As we know Tony Stark aka Iron Man is himself a super ’hero’, and no doubt he loves to save people and bring justice. But, at what cost?
While we naturally expect heroes like Batman and Iron Man to use their fortune to help people when in need, it’s only one of them who actually does that.
The billionaire superhero denies help
When Daredevil approaches Iron Man with a proposal, which wasn’t going to make him a fortune, but would have saved lives, Iron Man denied.
Daredevil proposes: “… and I want you to rent the buildings to the residents for next to nothing. And when I take down the Stromwyns, I want you to sell the properties to the residents for next to nothing”.
Fair proposal? Not for a businessman, but as a superhero, Iron Man could have helped Daredevil, and the whole deal would have cost him just some scraps of his fortune.
Tony Stark replied: “… That’s crazy”. And denies the help by terming it as “throwing away billions of dollars”.
More than once we have witnessed Batman helping people with his money, but Iron Man denied Daredevil the only chance he had to prove himself better.
Bruce Wayne has used his money enough times to help others even when his charities weren’t earning him fame. He bought Daily Planet once when the newspaper was almost finished, and it wasn’t any good for his fortune but was good for the people. Bruce’s company had often given low-level criminals a job to help them reform their lives. And his financial bits of help in the neighbourhood isn’t something new either.
The argument of who’s more powerful and rich might continue to the end of the time. And there’s also no denying to the fact that Tony has done no less for the world and has sometimes sacrificed even more to save the world. But when it comes to money, Daredevil will definitely argue that Batman is of much more help than Iron Man.
