Having won and been nominated for several Golden Globe Awards and Emmy awards, the ‘Two and a Half Men‘ star was once the highest-paid actor in the television sitcom biz. With his network being nothing less than 10 million dollars, here is how much Charlie Sheen has earned per episode.
From ‘Spin City’ to ‘Two and a Half Men’
Scoring a role in ‘Spin City‘ was definitely the breakthrough Charlie Sheen needed. Needless to say, the actor earned his fame through his first-class acting skills which included a well deserved Golden Globe Award. Following Michael J. Fox’s exit from the show, Sheen was given the spotlight to shine and, of course, a truckload of money in the bank. Two years of work in ‘Spin City’ was enough for Sheen to be noticed by everybody’s favourite showrunner, Chuck Lorre. For the first ten seasons, everything was great until Sheen went off his rocker and was immediately fired. But before his career came crashing down, how much did the “every woman’s man” earn throughout his time in the show? Let’s take a look!
Jumping from one great show to another surely gave Sheen a heavy pocket to splurge on all the cars, houses, and parties. Till 2007, the actor was taking home $350,000 per episode. In addition to this, he earned about 7 million dollars from live tours and concerts, as well as appearance fees and merchandise sales.

For the next three years, it was raining money from every source possible. In 2010, he earned a whopping $1.3 million per episode. Along with that, Sheen also gained some backend points worth $600,000. The last known salary that he drew from his time in ‘Two and a Half Men’ was about $1.8 million. Getting fired wasn’t all that easy for either party. While one might guess that after getting fired Sheen might have gone all broke with his drug and alcohol use, child support and the “extravagant expenditures”, that wasn’t the case at all.
Sheen continued to make profits through the unending reruns of the show that fans, television channels, and now OTT platforms just can’t get enough of. It has been reported that ever since the show’s season finale, the two main casts of the show, Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, have both earned about $20 million.
Not to forget, fans have shared their opinions on social media platforms to express how they truly feel about these facts. “At 1.7 million an episode Charlie Sheen was the highest-paid actor on television during his time on ‘Two and a Half Men’. A salary of opulence”, expressed a fan on Twitter.
Another fan Tweet read, “I try hard not to compare a teacher salary with how much Charlie Sheen makes per episode on a show about his bad attitude”.
When his anger management was made into a show
In case you didn’t know already, Charlie Harper’s character was very much inspired by his real lifestyle. ‘Anger Management’ is no different, but again it wasn’t entirely based on him. The series received 5.74 million viewers in its debut, breaking the record as the most-watched sitcom premiere in US cable television history. One can only imagine how much money the show might have made the network, showrunners, cast, and crew.
To break down a little further, Sheen signed what was called a 10/90 deal to star in the show ‘Anger Management‘. With a 10/90 deal, Charlie was given an unusually large percentage of syndication ownership points, in this case, 30% as opposed to a more normal 1-3%. Charlie also agreed to take a huge per-episode salary cut, knowing he was in for a pot of gold and million dollars worth of fortune. That was a smart move!
As of 2020, Charlie Sheen has a net worth of $10 million. He continues to profit from reruns, tours, shows, and other projects that have all worked well in his favour-money-wise.
