Oops! Charlie Cox is not a big fan of Ben Affleck’s film ‘Daredevil’
Charlie Cox, who plays Daredevil, is not a fan of Ben Affleck’s 2003 film ‘Daredevil’. Cox said he had never seen the 2003 superhero film until after he got cast as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the Netflix-Marvel series during his recent visit to Middle East Film & Comic Con 2022.
The actor stated that he did not watch the film until he got cast in it. He also stated that he wanted to see the film so that he could give the role his spin later on.

Cox further said that Affleck nails the role of Matt Murdock, but he doesn’t love the movie very much. According to him, the film had too much going on at one time, which ended up confusing him. In the end, he said that they had all the possible characters in the movie, including Elektra, Karen Page, and Foggy. However, it was impossible to fit in everyone’s storyline in the span of two hours. Also, he concluded the interview by saying that the “Suit sucks”!

He expressed his relief at finally being able to discuss his role in ‘Spiderman: No Way Home’. He went on to say that receiving that phone call was undoubtedly a defining moment in his life. Furthermore, he believed that he would no longer be a part of the MCU and was attempting to move on from it. That phone call, on the other hand, was undoubtedly unexpected.
Cox further went on to explain a face-to-face conversation he had in late 2019 with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, who misled him by not revealing Marvel Studios’ Daredevil plans despite the new Spiderman movie being under production at that time. In retrospect, Cox described Feige as a very talented liar who deceived the Daredevil actor with his strong poker face.
“I did a play in 2019 with Tom Hiddleston, and Kevin Feige came to see our play. And, you know, I went and shook hands with him and said hi, and he said how much he enjoyed the play. Never mentioned Daredevil or anything like that. So, it turns out he’s also a very good liar (laughs)”.
