Chris said that he was attending a Buddhist class in LA. His teacher mentioned Rishikesh and told him that she took her classes from there. Hence, the entire class packed their bags and came down to Rishikesh for a 3-day trip. About the trip, Chris gleefully mentioned the Himalaya treks he did, the Buddhism classes he took and how they camped at the bank of the Holy Ganges. Chris also regretted that he wished to visit Rishikesh at least once a year, but his film commitments don’t allow him the liberty of time.
While Chris Evans’ fans in India must have felt amazing hearing that, it is not the first time a major Hollywood celebrity has expressed their love and admiration for the South Asian country. Will Smith is known as one of the most outspoken promoters of the Indian spiritual guide Bhagwadgeeta. Smith shares quotes from the Holy Hindu book in his interviews and his social media posts as well. Hugh Jackman, like him, has a strong spiritual connection to the country and has expressed his admiration for the Holy Geeta.

Following the success of several MCU films, Chris Evans is now a well-known face in India, as much as any famous Indian actor. It was not the case when he visited the country back in the mid-2000s. But, thanks to his role as Captain America, if he were to visit the country, he would be greeted by a sea of his ardent fans.
Professionally, Chris Evans has parted ways with the MCU after his final role in the film ‘Avengers: Endgame’. However, he will soon be seen in upcoming films such as ‘The Gray Man’ and ‘Lightyear’.
