Fifty-year-old Baby Yoda
While tuning in to the ‘Star Wars‘ spin-off ‘The Mandalorian‘, no one expected to fall in love with a cute Baby Yoda. Viewers feel in love the minute fifty-year-old Baby Yoda peeked out of his floating crib. His calm gaze makes you love him even more. Baby Yoda or the child was introduced to us on the first episode of ‘The Mandalorian’. Early in the series, ‘The Mandalorian’ (Pedro Pascal), a bounty hunter, was sent out to find him. But one look at him made Mando forget his mission and protect him like a father. Baby Yoda is not just cute. He is also capable of moving things with his mind from flames to a massive animal. He can also use his Force to heal someone’s wounds by simply touching it and concentrating. Baby Yoda is proficient in the Force-choke manoeuvre that Darth Vader showed off in the original ‘Star Wars’ movie. Hence, he is an ideal companion, especially in dangerous situations.
Apart from being handy in complicated situations, Baby Yoda is frequently seen feeding himself by catching little frogs. He is also very inquisitive and incapable of following instructions sometimes. Even when Mando orders him to stay put on various occasions, he fails to follow it. Since his introduction on ‘The Mandalorian’ has been trending on social media. His merchandise has also been extremely popular among his fans.
Baby Yoda vs. Baby Groot
‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ acquainted us with Baby Groot, the cutest character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Baby Groot was revealed by James Gunn at the end of ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’. His character was an instant hit with the audience. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also talked about the character in an interview with “The Hollywood Reporter”. He said:
“He is not mentally a baby; he is still Groot. I sort of equate it to Spock circa the end of Search for Spock and The Voyage Home.”
Baby Groot’s super cute noises are enough to melt your heart. He might not be the typical cuddly creature because of his mischievousness, bitting and poking. On the other hand, Baby Yoda is just someone you would want to instantly snuggle or take him out for a stroll around your neighbourhood. He is adored by both kids and adults.
However, Baby Groot is much more capable of being on his own. He also entertains himself easily by either chasing around wild animals or dancing in his little pot. Baby Groot also comes handy in difficult situations in which he can utilize plant matter with his body that helps attack enemies.
Moreover, Groot’s life cycle is actually fast as compared to a human. Baby Groot became a teenager just four years later. Whereas Baby Yoda’s current age of fifty years is the equivalent of a five-year-old human child. The original Yoda died at 900. Hence, Baby Yoda has many years left to be his cute and adorable self.
Baby Yoda vs Baby Groot fight
According to the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn, Baby Groot would tear Baby Yoda apart. Gunn was asked by a fan on Instagram who he thought would win in a Baby Yoda vs Baby Groot fight. To which he said:
“I only know Baby Yoda as a character in memes. He looks just like a baby but Yoda so I imagine Baby Groot would tear him into pieces.”
There clearly is a bias on Gunn’s part because he has not watched ‘The Mandalorian’ and Baby Yoda floating around in his crib and breaking out his force powers. Hence, we think Baby Yoda will win a battle easily in a face-off with Baby Groot.
