‘Riverdale’ Season 5 details you need to know
The first three episodes of ‘Riverdale’ will focus on wrapping up the sinister videotape mystery. Season 5 of ‘Riverdale’ will take a time jump of seven years. Archie will be heading to the U.S. Naval Academy, Betty to Yale, Jughead will go to the University of Iowa, and Veronica will enter Barnard College in New York. The time jump aspect was confirmed by Executive Producer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. In an interview with TV Line, he talked about how they had been talking and planning on doing a time jump. As usually, time jumps happen in-between seasons because there is a tease at the very end. He felt like maybe what they will do is start with the last three episodes. Hence, they decided to pick up right where they left off for the first three episodes and then execute a time jump after those three episodes.
Skeet Ulrich (F.P. Jones) and Marisol Nichols (Hermione Lodge) are reported to be leaving after ‘Riverdale’ season 4. Though there is a possibility they might return for the first three episodes of season 5 to help wrap the mystery up. According to rumours, one of these characters may be killed off in the coming episode of ‘Riverdale’ season 5.
‘Riverdale’ Season 5 Fan theories
According to many fan theories and rumours, Jughead’s half-brother Charles Smith seems to be behind all the killings.
A Reddit user wrote:
“I strongly believe that Chic is blackmailing Charles with evidence of his past from when they lived together at the seedy motel. Charles is just a pawn in Chic’s game. Charles is playing along with the relationship to try and get on his good side, otherwise, why wouldn’t Charles just expose Alice and Betty murdering that random guy from season 2 beforehand? Chic could also be threatening to harm the Cooper or Jones family. So, Charles is playing along in fear of losing his family that he spent so long looking. Chic could also be manipulating Charles into recording the strange videotapes that appear on everyone’s door. He is forcing him to send information back on Betty’s life as revenge for her turning him into the black hood back in season 2 by tapping in on her calls”.
