Thai University Launches Mari*uana Studies Program to Teach People How to Farm We*d
Rangsit University will be the first school in Thailand to offer mari*uana classes in hopes of answering the growing demand for skilled gan*a professionals.
The school’s Agricultural Innovation Faculty unveiled a new undergraduate mari*uana studies program that will cover such topics as we*d history, cultivation technology, and medical mari*uana.
The world has advanced greatly in mari*uana research, especially medical mari*uana.

“But in Thailand, we don’t have skilled workers that know much about canna*is… We will be the pioneers of mari*uana education programs in Thailand,” Banyat Saitthiti, faculty dean, told local broadcaster ThaiPBS.
“Once we have knowledge about mari*uana, we can develop our own strains, and in the future, we’ll have mari*uana farms and stuff,” the associate professor added. “I believe that’s where we’re headed.”
He said the program would likely to open in August for the next academic year and will be run through the university’s Agricultural Innovation Faculty.
Juniors in the four-year program will be given the option to specialise in canna*is and take classes in four primary subjects—mari*uana history, mari*uana farming tech, strain cultivation and development, and the development of mari*uana for medical use—with a view to qualify students to become entrepreneurs in the canna*is industry or work on mari*uana farms around the world.
