The famous rapper Tekashi 69’s latest news is buzzing in several senses. In the latest development of the charges against him, he has identified some of the old associates.
Established in New York in 1993, the Nine Trey Gang operates in the east coast of the United States. Apart from other things, the gang is allegedly involved with sex trafficking of women and racketeering in the state of Virginia.
Who is Tekashi 69?
Daniel Hernandez aka Tekashi 69, also called as 6ix9ine, is a well known Rapper. In the recent news related to Tekashi 69, he has testified in a packed courtroom in Manhattan. Daniel is reported to have constructed an under- table deal with the prosecutors. In exchange for testifying against his former associates, prosecutors agreed to ask the judge to reduce the sentence for 6ix9ine.
Tekashi confessed that he is associated with the Nine Trey Gang, which the prosecutors believe to be responsible for a string of violent crimes in the city. During the testification, a phone recording was played by prosecutors. Daniel Hernandez was asked to identify the voices on it.
Daniel identified one of them as Jim Jones, whom he said as a retired rapper and a former member of the gang. It’s worth noting that it was in November last year when prosecutors brought racketeering and firearms charges against Mr. Hernandez and alleged members of the Nine Trey gang.
Tekashi 69 news: Involvement of Cardi B
Hernandez also named Cardi B with Jim Jones as a member of the gang. She has publicly talked about her affiliation with the gang before, most recently in a 2018 profile by former GQ writer Caity Weaver.

Although, the representatives of these actors haven’t responded yet, however, they do have a lot to prepare before releasing a public statement after such accusations.
Tekashi’s Under-cut Deal
Details of Hernandez’s plea deal revealed that he would be given a lighter sentence if he were to cooperate with authorities. Prior to this deal, Hernandez might have to spend a minimum of 47 years in prison.
As the latest news of Tekashi 69; because of the sensitivity of the matters discussed in the defendant’s testimony, the deal stated that he may require witness protection at a later date.
