Singapore’s Changi Airport has an indoor rainforest
Singapore’s Changi Airport which has been topping the list of world’s best airports from last seven years now has an indoor rainforest, complete with a waterfall and even a maze.
The airport just underwent a huge revamp costing $1.7 million (roughly £951m). There’s so much on offer that passengers will hope their flights get delayed.
Changi is opening its brand new expansion ‘jewel’ that features over 280 shops and restaurants. It impressed thousand of travellers from all over the world.
According to a report by Mirror, there will even be a 130 rooms hotel called YOTELAir Singapore Changi Airport, where you can rest up during your travels.
Directly connecting to terminals 1, 2 and 3 the ten-storey complex which is span over 137,000 square metres opened at Changi Airport on April 17.
At night, the people will be attracted towards the water feature which will transform into a light and a sound show.
In the list of the world’s best airports Tokyo Haneda came second, where Seoul Incheon in South Korea was placed 3rd and Doha Hamad in Doha, Qatar was placed 4th at the list.
Seoul Incheon in South Korea is a former winner of ‘Airport of the year’ at the world airport awards.
Hong Kong International Airport was placed at no. 5th in the list which serves over 100 airlines operating flights at 180 locations worldwide. It is former, multiple winners of ‘ Airport of the year’ at the world airport awards.
Tokyo Haneda topped in the list of world’s cleanest airport, Centrair Nagoya in Japan came second. Singapore Changi is third and Seoul Incheon came in fourth.
