Barcelona woman bites off ex’s tongue after she asked for a goodbye kiss
A Spanish woman is facing prison time after she bit off her ex-boyfriend’s tongue. But she is yet to go to trial, even several years after the incident.
Barcelona native Adaia Lopez Esteve was arrested in 2017, after she lured her soon-to-be ex in with a request for one last goodbye kiss and ripped his tongue from his mouth, spitting it on the ground before fleeing the scene.
After fleeing the scene, Esteve was captured by local law enforcement.
The victim was rushed to the hospital after a neighbor heard his screams.

Their first relationship started in 2016 but ended after only two months. Shortly after the initial break up, they decided to get back together. However, after four months the supposed ex said that he was tired of her constant mood swings.
When the police found Ms. Esteve, she refused to give a statement. They let her go but kept her under close inspection. While it is still unknown when it has been released that she will be called to court.
Her trial will take place at the Barcelona Provincial Court.
Reports have also said that she is facing an eight-year prison punishment and that the victim’s lawyers are pushing towards ten years.
