Explaining the show’s immense popularity
The show was initially intended as a miniseries; however noticing a massive fan-following right after the first season ended airing its final episode, the makers of the show were quick to renew the series for a second season, then third, and fourth. Just like that Vikings entered its sixth season which initially aired its first episode in 2013.
Year by year, as the show got its renewal, fans got more and more engrossed into exploring Ragnar, Lagertha and Rollo’s lives. At the end of Season 6, the show has grown its fan base to a massive global audience.
Spoilers in Vikings Season 6 Part 2
In the first half of Season 6, we saw the wife of Ragnar, Lagertha stepping down from politics allowing Bjorn to sit on the throne of Kattegat. Meanwhile, Ivar travels along the Silk Road and removes his beard once they reach Kiev. On the other hand, his van is ambushed, and Ivar is finally taken to Prince Oleg.
By the end of the episode, it is established that Bjorn is dead as he was lying on the floor in a pool of blood, stabbed by his own brother Ivar.
It’s the most heart-breaking scene after Ragnar’s death, but the biggest question is – Is he really dead?
