Jesse Pinkman El Camino
With the series continuing into a Netflix Originals movie “El Camino”, which is set to premiere in October this year. Speculations have now reached newer heights and fans are more curious than ever. The most rejoiced question being – Where is Jesse headed to?
Alaska or Mexico – there are two possibilities
During a recent ‘Ask me Anything’ session on Reddit, Jesse Pinkman actor Aaron Paul was asked about his ideas of how Jesse’s story could have ended in Breaking Bad.
A fan was quoted asking – “The ending of Breaking bad was very ambiguous to the fate of what happens to Jesse, what do you think happened to Jesse after he drove off?“
Aaron Paul replied hinting at El Camino;
“God, I think there are 2 possible stories. I’d like to think Jesse got away. I like to think he kept driving. But we all know he has no money, he gave it all away, and we also know his fingerprints are all over everything where Walt was found dead.
They’re gonna be searching high and low for Jesse, so I don’t know. I like to think he was building something in Alaska…but he could be locked away in a prison somewhere. But we don’t like to think about that version of the show.
So, I think he’s living happily on a lake somewhere in Alaska, fishing a lot, making things out of wood, probably kicked the habit of meth”.
These may not be official endings, however, they are good enough for fans to find a moment to cherish. Jesse Pinkman El Camino.
Wilderness of Alaska
The world has witnessed Christopher McCandless, a young graduate, exploring the wilderness of Alaska in an intrepid journey – Into the Wild.
The movie depicts how life in Alaska can take its toll on just about anyone.
If what Aaron said is true about the fate of Jesse Pinkman, than what El Camino brings to the table would be very interesting to discern.
Assistance from Saul Goodman

Jimmy Mcgill, also known as Saul Goodman, a criminal lawyer – “A lawyer who is a criminal” in the words of Jesse Pinkman is another interesting arc in the given narrative.
Saul meets with Walt in Ed’s basement before leaving. Even after Walt asked him to join, instead of going to Omaha, Saul declined and left anyways.
This could be another plot twist left by the writers to help Jesse Pinkman escape.
Possibility of Mexico
Mexico is another probable destination for Pinkman. For all we know, he might have anticipated the worst possibilities considering his line of business. Thus it may be possible that he foresaw the haywire climax which transpired in the finale of Breaking Bad.
In lieu of the underlying foresight, he would have arranged some backup options for himself to escape safely. Considering the reality of Mexico, it is not only plausible but a brilliant option to pursue, in case things get south.
El Camino
El Camino is set to premiere on 11th October 2019, on Netflix. The movie will sight the events after the conclusion of Breaking Bad.
Fans will witness Jesse Pinkman on the run from the police after escaping Jack & his gang (Neo-Nazis). He would be trying to escape his own inner turmoil set forth due to the events in Breaking Bad.
What actually happens to Jesse Pinkman and how he survives, if he does, is still to be witnessed. Until then all we can do is speculate.
Cheers!!
