About the show
Created and written by Michael Hirst, Vikings initially followed the journeys of Ragnar Lothbrok and his Vikings brothers. Focus gradually moved towards Ragnar’s sons Bjorn and Ivar making them the lead protagonists.
What happened to Ragnar before season 6?
Season 4 which premiered in Feb 2016, was quite intense as some fans lost one of their favourite characters in the series. Ragnar met his fate in the episode “All his Angels” where he was thrown into a pile of snakes by King Aelle. As a result, he died of venomous bites.
However, that might’ve not been the end of Travis Fimmel’s journey as Ragnar. Besides the speculations that believe he could make a comeback, Ragnar continued to be a part of the Viking tribe in the form of a vision ms
Ragnar’s son Bjorn had flashbacks in season 5 where he was asked about what he was fighting for.
Ragnar’s return proved to be true
In one of the posters for Season 6, it features Ivar being crowned the King. Fans have pointed out an interesting fact which could prove Ragnar’s return from the dead.
In season 5 when King Aelle threw Ragnar into a pile of snakes, with shackles around his wrists. In contrast, the poster displays an image of Ivar being crowned where the hands placing the crow have shackles around them.
When will season 6 part 2 be released?
The Showrunners decided to make a 20 episodes-season which fans were quite pleased about. As of Feb 2020, the first 10 episodes have already been released by creators of the show, reviewed and critiqued by viewers and fans.
While there is no official statement confirming the release date of the second half of season 6, fans are hoping they won’t have to wait too long.
