Tyler Posey wants MTV to reboot Teen Wolf, and most of the cast is ready for it too. It has been three years since we last saw Scott’s pack in action, but that might change soon.
Teen Wolf’s six-season run ended back in 2017, so it hasn’t been that long since we last saw Scott’s gang. For everyone who doesn’t remember much about the supernatural teen drama, allow us to refresh your memories. Teen Wolf follows Scott, a student who gets bitten by an alpha werewolf on the night before his sophomore year.

The then-ordinary teen Scott (Tyler Posey) suffers a great ordeal during his transition into a werewolf. He spends full moon nights fighting his animalistic instincts as his physical abilities and senses heighten with time. Scott soon realises that his hometown is being inhabited by supernatural creatures, and that he must fight them.
The other titular character in the series is his best friend Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) who he fights supernatural forces with. While Scott is known for his unwavering morality, Stiles is the street-smart, comic relief of the series. Other characters include Scott’s love interest, Allison (Crystal Reed), Lydia (Holland Roden), alpha werewolf Derek (Tyler Hoechlin) among others.
The open-ended, season 6 finale aired three years ago, and fans have been waiting to see the makers reboot Teen Wolf. But they’re not the only ones hoping. Tyler Posey and the cast are dreaming the same dream.
Tyler Posey wants MTV to reboot Teen Wolf
Posey played Scott McCall, the teenage werewolf on the supernatural television series for six years. His performance in the show was well-received, but fans really loved his chemistry with co-actor Dylan O’Brien. The two actors played childhood best friends on the series and their camaraderie and bromance shone through their performances.
Posey was a teen heartthrob back then, and Teen Wolf has quite the dedicated fanbase even now. It is only fitting that he would want to reprise his role as Scott and bring the series back to life.
Earlier this March, Tyler Posey took to Twitter and shared that he’d love for MTV to reboot Teen Wolf. Three years seems like a good enough time for a reboot, doesn’t it? With the ongoing Hollywood reboot-frenzy, you never know when the network will decide to reboot the series.
Posey wasn’t the only team member looking forward to being a part of the Teen Wolf reboot. Let’s see what the others have to say.

The rest of the cast agrees with Posey’s plea to reboot the series
The show’s lead character, Posey (Scott) is ready to entertain fans once again in a reboot of the hit series. This isn’t the first time Tyler has expressed his hope in continuing Scott’s werewolf journey.
He regularly re-watches old episodes and loves reminiscing about what used to be. Earlier this year, Posey told a fan, “It’s nice taking breaks from it, then going back and reminiscing.” Whether MTV agrees with him is a mystery that’ll hopefully unravel itself in the near future. But here’s the good news that fans can bank on — Tyler isn’t the only team member who is up for a reboot.
Cody Christian, the actor who plays Theo Raeken, a hybrid werewolf in the series, is thrilled about it. And not just him, Colton Haynes is ready too. Haynes played Scott’s high school nemesis in the first two seasons of the series.
There’s no news about Dylan O’Brien stepping in his old character’s shoes but we’re sure he’d be up for it! It’s hard to imagine that MTV would reboot Teen Wolf without the heart of the show.
MTV to reboot Teen Wolf in the future?
Unfortunately, what the cast wants doesn’t really matter if the network isn’t up for it. Jeff Davis was inspired by the 1985 movie of the same name, and developed the series for MTV in 2011. He hasn’t announced a reboot or even entertained rumours, so the future for a reboot doesn’t seem bright.
MTV, the original network of the series, seems excited about the possibility of a future reboot but didn’t have much to say. It seems like the decision to reboot Teen Wolf is in the hands of the show-runner. But since the cast is ready, a reboot could just be a call away.
