As Money Heist season 5 begins filming, several cast members are back in their popular Heist avatars, but what are Berlin and Tokyo up to?
We all knew that Money Heist will be back for at least one more season, and it is. Netflix and creator Álex Pina has begun work on the season, and several cast members, including Álvaro Morte (The Professor), Úrsula Corberó (Tokyo), and Pedro Alonso (Berlin), have been spotted on the sets. Yes, Berlin, the character that the entire world either loves or simply hates, who sacrificed his life for the team in season 2, was also spotted filming for the final season. Looking at these interesting BTS snaps of Berlin and Tokyo, we wonder what they are up to in the final season.

Money Heist, originally known as “La Casa de Papel (The House of Paper)”, is a Spanish heist drama show, later acquired by Netflix for international streaming. Season 4 of the sensational Netflix show was premiered on April 3, 2020 and received a great response from the viewers. All four seasons of Money Heist have been an immense success and has generated chunks of profit for Netflix.
What Berlin and Tokyo are up to in season 5 of Money Heist?
La Casa de Papel, aka Money Heist, is back with a season 5, and two of the most popular characters, Berlin and Tokyo, are already preparing for the heist. Several of the stars have been spotted returning to the Bank of Spain to continue the final heist. And as we are gaining more insight into the show, we can’t hold ourselves from wondering what is it that we are going to face this time.
In the final moments of season 4, we were left breathless on a cliffhanger as the Professor was held on gunpoint by Inspector Alicia Sierra. We have no idea what will happen, but probably the Professor does, and that’s why he’s back on the sets. Just a couple of weeks ago, on July 21, Álvaro Morte, who plays the Professor, posted a snap from the sets of season 5. He posted on Instagram with the caption “I’m back. The Professor is back. @netflixes @netflix @vancouvermedia_” So, for the moment, we can believe that the Professor escaped Alicia’s gun.
Tokyo is also back on the sets for the final heist.
Right after the Professor began to prepare for the final heist, Tokyo and Berlin also appeared in the bank. Recently, Úrsula Corberó posted several Instagram stories from the sets of La Casa de Papel 5. In one of the stories, we witness Tokyo hyped up for the heist with her signature hairstyle. The story read “Today. Tokio is back. Wish me luck”.
On August 2, Úrsula Corberó tweeted a photo, which emitted misery. Tokyo sat on a couch in the Bank of Spain, she looked heartbroken. And the other part of the same image showed the broken dolly mask eating dust. The tweet said, “Ready for the 5th? The heist comes to an end…”
And while we wonder what Tokyo will be doing in Money Heist season 5, the actress posted another story on Instagram with Berlin in the red clown suit. Though it was an old hilarious snap, in which Berlin was dancing and having fun.
Return of Berlin in Season 5.
There’s not a single Money Heist fan who doesn’t want Berlin back. The charisma Pedro Alonso brought on the screen is what we all miss. However, just like Season 3 and 4, we might get some Berlin in flashbacks and montages.
Right after Tokyo, Berlin was also spotted on the sets of Money Heist Season 5, and he was looking cunning than ever. Pedro Alonso posted several photos on Instagram of him being Berlin and visiting several locations, probably plotting the Bank of Spain heist in past.
In one of the photos, Berlin can be spotted with an interesting character, played by Patrick Criado. Even in the photos, the dynamics between them felt really interesting. We are looking forward to what the character is, and what Berlin was planning back in the days.
It’s still a long time before we know where the road to the end of the Heist will lead us. But, we are pretty sure the Professor, Berlin, and Tokyo are up to something breathtaking in season 5 of Money Heist.
