Amid the Pandemic, The Salvatore School of the Young and Gifted is back for another session. Legacies is returning with Season 3.
Vampire Diaries was a show that ruled the Television landscape and brought vampires into mainstream content. A genre that hadn’t ruled the television content other than True Blood since the late 90s when Buffy the Slayer came out, Vampire Diaries was your regular teen drama just with vampires.
So, it didn’t come as a surprise when it went on to become not only successful but have two spin-off shows to it’s credit. The Originals and Legacies.
Highlights
- The Salvatore School of Young Is In Session
- Season 3 of Legacies
While, Vampire Diaries and The Originals have both come to an end, The Legacies has had a run of two very successful seasons and it looks like Season 3 is on it’s way!
The Salvatore School of Young Is In Session
While schools and colleges in real life are closed down due to the world fighting a Pandemic, It seems like The Salvatore School of Young and Gifted is back in session in reel life. It is time to welcome back young vampires, werewolves and witches and teach them a little bit about how to not be themselves.

Julie-Plec show-runner and writer of both Vampire Diaries and The Originals has confirmed that Legacies Season 3 will be premiering early next year. The show prior to the Pandemic was set for a fall release in October 2020.
Season 2 of Legacies completed 16 out of the 20 episodes that was set to release before production shut down in March 2020. And before we get to enjoy Season 3 of the supernatural drama, the producers also have to finish the remaining 4 episodes of the series.

It is unclear whether the remaining episodes will be now merged with Legacies Season 3 itself. (Looking at the state of things, it probably will)
But we have more Legacies to look forward to and that’s all we care about.
Season 3 of Legacies
Mystic Falls is all set to get a visit by a new set of villains and old ones according to show-runner Julie Plec’s official twitter account.
In Season 2 of Legacies we find out that Kai Parker (Chris Wood) killed Josie (Kaylee Bryant) and Lizzie’s (Jenny Boyd) mother in The Originals leaving the audience shook to their core. Season 3 will most likely concentrate on a premise of revenge for both Josie and Lizzie now that Parker is dead.
But Plec also added that we will definitely see more of Parker as he is a massive part in the backstory of the twins. Stefan and Caroline also might make a comeback if the need fits the story and The Originals can also make a cameo or two.
But one of the most asked question for Season 3 of Legacies is will Alaric Saltzman (Matthew Davis) will ever land on his feet in the love department? Alaric got married in Vampire Diaries only to have his wife become a vampire and kill herself under the influence of a warlock and since all hell has broken loose in his love life.
But Plec had a positive affirmation for the query and replied a rather promising and loaded “YES” to the fans.
Well, that seems like the most information we are getting until the trailer drops for Legacies. And that is not something close to happening! Until then, long live the re-runs!
