Why has ‘Family Guy’ been cancelled by Fox after announcing season 19?
The ‘Family Guy’ is no stranger to be taken off-air, the new deal of MacFarlane is the reason behind the cancellation of Fox’s second-longest-running series after ‘The Simpsons’. The series made its TV debut in 1999 and went off-air in 2002.

But the stupendous sale turned the fortunes for ‘Family Guy’, and Fox gave it another shot by bringing it back on TV in 2005. MacFarlane shared a long time relation with Fox and created many shows for the network including ‘American Dad’, ‘The Cleveland Show’, and the live-action, sci-fi series, ‘The Orville’.
However, time took a turn and MacFarlane signed a 5-year deal with NBC Universal. The rumours of Fox cancelling the ‘Family Guy’ started this January when the news of the deal surfaced. But Fox announced the renewal of ‘Family Guy’ for the 19th season in the second week of May 2020. The news of the revival of ‘Family Guy’ season 19 put these rumours to rest and fans took a chill-pill.

The cracks are already forming. Reports of the successful series, ‘Family Guy’, being shifted to NBC from Fox cement the rumours.
