Due to its success, the series, along with ‘Arrow’, has even spun characters out to their own show, ‘Legends of Tomorrow’. In 2015, The CW even launched a blog called ‘The Chronicles of Cisco’ which later became an Instagram account that gave an insight into the events during and outside of ‘The Flash’s’ episodes.
Season 7: What will we get to see?
In the finale of season 6, Iris was seen cracking and refracting light, before “blinking” away. The subsequent episode was supposed to show what happened to her and where she went. However, due to the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, the season was cut short and now that episode will be the first one for The Flash season 7. Barry will continue to deal with his speedster power outage. With the arrival of a new villain, Eva’s plans will suffer. David Ramsey will also be seen reprising his role of John Diggle from ‘Arrow’.

Furthermore, the real Godspeed will finally be playing a major role in the new season. Showrunner Eric Wallace revealed,
“I want to make sure new fans — especially young new fans who are reading the comic book right now — are welcomed to the show, so it’s not just Silver Age villains and Bronze Age villains”
Actor Jon Cor is also set to portray the DC Comic villain Chillbane, who uses cryogenic technology to create his weapons in the upcoming season.
Season 7: Release date update
The CW has announced that season 7 will release on March 2, 2021. The show was earlier scheduled to release on February 23rd, but was moved up by a week to premiere the 90-minute long episode 1 of the first season of ‘Superman and Lois’.
The best thing about the upcoming season will be that Barry and Iris will most likely have a happy ending. Wallace recently expressed,
“Because I love happy endings. I know you’ve been through a lot [in Season 6] … But don’t worry, there will be a happy ending”.
So, fans will have a lot of love and action to look forward to for sure.
