People vs OJ Simpson
Once a popular figure in the American sports world, OJ Simpson made an overnight headline when he was arrested on the ground of murdering his wife and her friend. His case caught limelight nearly 22 later when the documentary People vs OJ Simpson unravelled the startling facts into his story.
Now 26 years later, OJ Simpson’s case has begun to resurface with the release of Aaron Hernandez’s documentary on Netflix. OJ Simpson’s and Aaron Hernandez’s trial are strikingly similar. Both have been former NFL players convicted and tried for different counts of murders.

However, OJ Simpson’s case stands out for one outlining detail. Unlike Aaron Hernandez’s case, OJ Simpson walked free of any charges.
He had hired a celebrity lawyer vis-à-vis his team of influential defense lawyers referred to as the dream team. His pursuit, arrest, and subsequent murder trial was watched by millions of Americans on live National TV. The evidence did not merit a conviction leading to his acquittal.
Indeed, Aaron Hernandez’s documentary has invoked a fresh stir of debate around OJ Simpson’s acquittal. Let us know what do you think on the comment section below.
