Season 4 of The Crown already started filming while season 3 was on air. Given the time gap between previous seasons’ the new season is expected to hit the small screens by Fall 2020.

The excitement is rising in the fans as there’s a lot of interest in the relationship that The Queen and Thatcher shared. It’s known that the real-life Queen had been angry with Thatcher’s refusal to back sanctions against South Africa’s racist apartheid regime.

Show creator Peter Morgan touched upon the subject in a podcast describing them as ‘eagle with two heads, facing in different directions.’ He further elaborated, “They’ve got an awful lot in common, not least their gender. Sometimes the things you think will bring two people together, actually drives them apart.”
Actor Gillian Andeson will be playing the role of Thacher while Olivia Colman will continue playing the titular role. It is said that Claire Foy and Matt Smith will also reprise their roles in some way, which is yet to be seen.
