After a long wait, Netflix dropped a teaser for Stranger Things 4 last month, which gave all the Stranger Things fans a degree of relief. The latest update on Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 confirms that Netflix has halted the production of its sensational show. As stated by the studio, “due to government restrictions and health/safety precautions”, they have shut down the production and shooting of Stranger Things 4 for two weeks. However, Netflix hasn’t only done this for Stranger Things, but all of Netflix’s produced shows that are underworks in the US and Canada has been halted for at least two weeks.
Witcher Season 2 that was being filmed in the UK has also been taken off from the production currently due to the Covid-19 outbreak. Now with Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 and other shows being halted due to Coronavirus threats, fans are wondering what will their content calendar look like.
Netflix’s Stranger Things 4 premier to be postpended due to Coronavirus?
As Netflix has halted the shooting of Stranger Things 4 amid Coronavirus, fans are curious to know what will be the show’s release date now. Though the shutdown is temporary and for only two weeks, hopefully, but if in case it drags for longer, then it might delay the show’s release. No one knows for how long Coronavirus will remain a threat for public health, if it drags for a longer duration, the production halt of two weeks is surely going to get longer.
However, Netflix didn’t announce a date to release Stranger Things 4, and they don’t usually announce a release date for their shows up until a month or two before release. In that case, Netflix will have a lot of flexibility to stretch the release date of Stranger Things 4 due to the increasing threat of Coronavirus.
Stranger Things 4 expected to release during July 2021

Stranger Things Season 4 is expected to premiere in 2021. As the show has recently gone into production, the possibilities of the year 2020 release are nil. Though Netflix hasn’t revealed a release date for Stranger Things 4, we predicted it to be either July 2021 or April 2021.
Our predictions were based on the pattern and facts regarding the release of the previous three seasons of Stranger Things. We know that Netflix has shut down the production of Stranger Things 4 due to Coronavirus outbreak, but we are sure Stranger Things 4 will seek a way to fight it and be ready for us by mid-2021.
We wish we could call Eleven, Hopper, Mike, and the group to fight with us against this threat.
