Mysteries unfold and intentions are revealed. Will Stranger things 5 take us on a mind-bending journey?
Set in the 80s, the critically acclaimed Netflix series Stranger Things has announced that it would be launching its fourth season soon. With speculations and fan theories on the table, the plot predictions are going haywire. However, I thought it would be interesting to build it all up to Stranger Things Season 5. Before I do that, let us look back on how incredibly thrilling the last 3 seasons of Stranger Things were, and while the fourth one is in the making, much of it is already being rooted for.

As Joyce Buyers is seen leaving Hawkins with Will and Eleven, what is achingly sad is the alleged demise of Hopper in the Starcourt mall explosion at the end of season 3. Speculations have it that this might all be a cover-up by him to protect El and Joyce and handle things on his own. However, the post-credits show an American Guy in a prison somewhere in Russia. Could he be Chief Hopper? Well, we sure hope so, don’t we?
One of the theories by JediSabre on Reddit makes a lot of sense.
- His speech at the end foreshadows his return – keeping the door open 3 inches ‘for your old Dad’ leaves the door open for him to come back.
- The music they use over that scene is Peter Gabriel’s cover of Heroes, which is the exact same song they used when Will’s body was fished out of the water in season 1. Everyone thought Will was dead, BUT HE WASN’T. Why use exactly the same music? Because, like Will, Hopper’s not dead.
Excited, are we?
The fourth season is expected to bring back El with her telekinetic superpowers after a brief hiatus.

Drama Alert!
Now that she’ll be living with Will and Joyce, will the Buyers kid mind her closeness with his mum, as he did with Mike?
Speaking of, Will has a very important role to play in the fourth season considering his connection with the Mind Flayer.

Confirmed: Release Date of Stranger Things Season 4
While the fourth season dabbles in Russian Prisons, Mind flayer episodes, and more of Demogorgon, it is set to pick up in 1986, which brings me to another theory.
1986 is the year when the horrifying Chernobyl incident happened
Since the Russian government is experimenting with a powerhouse of a Demogorgon, could the Chernobyl disaster be a cover-up for an explosion because of the beast? If that would be the case, Stranger Things Season 5 is going to be a roller coaster ride.
Since the Duffer brothers are highly unlikely to go beyond Stranger Things Season 5, it is bound to be groundbreaking.
Cut to the time post-Chernobyl or rather, a masked beast disaster, it is highly possible that a wormhole is created connecting the three realities; present, past, and future. If there could be a portal from Earth to Upside down, the chances of a wormhole aren’t very unlikely, now are they?

It is a never-ending trap, for a change in one dimension will automatically alter the realities of the other two. Eleven is drained of her powers after defeating the monster and accepts that what makes her powerful is the love that she’s surrounded with.
Suprise Suprise!
The Monster isn’t really dead. He escaped to another dimension right when El thought that he was dead for good. Will, there be a mind-bending journey across the three dimensions in search of the monster or will El and the squad play by their minds and manipulate their ways through the alternate realities in order to kill him?
Well, that’s my theory. Yours could be anything.
