After Netflix’s Stranger Things Season 3 ended on a cliffhanger, fans can no longer wait for Season 4 release date.
The third season finale of Netflix’s Stranger Things left the ensemble of characters believing the beloved chief of police Jim Hopper had died during the effort to re-close the gate to the Upside Down. Now, Netflix has officially confirmed Hopper is alive and well, but being held as a prisoner in Russia.

Netflix has shut down production on all of its US and Canada-shot including Stranger Things. However, it raises concern over how it might affect the release date of Stranger Things Season 4.
Moreover, Netflix doesn’t usually reveal return dates for its shows until the production is concluded. So it is likely that Stranger Things Season 4 release date will be pushed back as a segment of the series is yet to be shot.

Subsequently, Stranger Things Season 3 debuted on Netflix in July 2019. Therefore, the Duffer brothers had only three months to finish Season 4 production. However, amid a two-month shutdown announced by Netflix, Stranger Things Season 4 release date is now expected to incur a delay.

Now that Stranger Things Season 4 is expected to release by late 2020 or early 2021; fans have found peace in knowing their favourite character Jim Hopper is alive. In a trailer released by Netflix in February, the American prisoner (Hopper) was held captive by the Russian operatives in Kamchatka.

Even though Netflix had earlier teased its fans saying ‘we are not in Hawkins’ in the official announcement video of Stranger Things Season 4 in September 2019. It only took months before the fans could figure out what it actually meant. This season’s peak excitement lies in how Hopper landed in Russia and why is he laying tracks for the Russian military.
