Stranger Things absolutely changed the game for Netflix back in 2016 becoming an overnight success and gained world domination pretty soon.
All the rivals couldn’t help but try and some were successful and some, quite not. Banking on the old American nostalgia for 4 seasons now 3 of which have been released, fans are wondering if the end is near for the franchise and will there be a Season 5 at all?

Why All the Buzz For Season 5?
As they say, a dedicated fan base, millions of dollars and a plotline which seems to be competing with successful movie franchises may change the course of history. Which is probably why the Duffer Brothers originally had planned to end the series with four seasons but the recent news is that at the beginning of the fourth season that was decided against.
It was soon found out that fourth season was to be divided in two parts. The Duffer Brother decided to extend the story further by creating a Part One and Part Two. The second part is then to be Season 5.
To fuel the rumours even more it was released that a search was on in the form of a character description. The character, Ash, is to be made a series regular with a contract for two seasons.

This kind of points out at a potential new season and it seems like the gift i.e., Stranger Things just keep on coming.
What Should We Expect From Season 5?
Stranger Things narrative pretty much is the ‘kids saving the world from it’s enemies’ narrative with some good old 80’s throwback and that isn’t going to work for another season anymore. A fact that The Duffer Brothers very much agree on. In an interview they pointed out the “strange things happening every year to these kids” is getting kind of redundant.
And as a fan very rightly pointed out (as we always do) the kids in the Stranger Things aren’t really kids anymore. With that talent and beauty Millie Bobby Brown aka Eleven is diving straight into the film industry and we’re wondering if she might just have superpowers in real life as well.
Also, with the productions at halt all over the world due to the Corona Virus outbreak we here are looking at months if not years of postponing.
With keeping all this in factor, is there a point in taking the story further for another season?
There are a number of routes that the fans see the creators of the show taking. One, would obviously be to leave Season 4 on a cliff hanger and let Season 5 be a continuation from exactly that point. Perhaps, less number of episodes would do that job.
Another one is taking this the Avengers style and showing a leap of a few years. Imagine this, all the kids are now grown up, maybe ready to leave Hawkins for college and suddenly after all these years there world is upside down again. Literally.
For one last time, Eleven, Will, Mike, Dustin and the rest of the gang come together to fight the common enemy? I mean there isn’t much left to explore in the show anymore. The Russian government, Hopper’s death (no one believes that) Mind Flayer…we’ve seen it all.
So we wouldn’t really mind on this leap of a few years unless the creators have something better planned for us. Either way, we’re not really complaining as we’re not really ready to say goodbye to the Hawkins Gang just yet.
